Talamore Golf Resort

No doubt Talamore is one of the Sandhills hidden gems and better values. Renovated in 2016, this Rees Jones layout is solid in every way and in excellent shape, including the year-old Champion Bermuda greens. With plenty of elevation change, doglegs and terrific bunkering (adding sod wall bunkers were part of the renovation), Talamore is a really nice championship level course that is truly playable by all levels of golfers. It’s also a great starting or ending point for any trip to this year. For those on somewhat of a budget, Talamore Golf Resort offers terrific packages that can also include Talamore’s sister course, the wonderful Mid South Club, as well as nearby gems like Mid Pines and Pine Needles, which have also been perfectly restored. In addition, those staying at the resort get free breakfast and barbecue pork dinner on Thursday evenings.

What a wonderful course. Perfect condition and a good test of golf.

Round started out well, good pace on first seven holes then hit the wall. Greens were quick but very firm. No chance of holding a shot, even wedges bounced over.

Greens seemed to have not been punched or top dressed this year.

Wonderful condition. Green surface immaculate. Only thing that kept it drom 5 stars was hardness of green surface. Hard to hold a green even in wet weather

Golf staff was very friendly. Not so much with the bar staff.

Love this course, green the fasted I have ever been on, they are really hard and run with the lightest of touch making them so hard to get a great read the course is in great condition and it was great when the starter, the course manager remembered both my self and my hubby

This Champion bermuda grass that is being used on greens is perfect! The greens here are large, undulating, and quick - quite a challenge if you are in the wrong spot on the green. Once they soften up some, they will hold approach shots better, but it is tough to complain about greens this nice. Enjoyed looking at the new pot bunkers, but I managed to stay out of them. Pace of play was on the slow side - no marshall or cart lady on a Sunday?? Course is in great shape. Pricey, but worth it.

The greens were the best I've putted. The rest of the course was in excellent shape. My first time playing since the greens and bunkers were updated.

Well laid out, very picturest. The fairways and greens were in great shape. Very enjoyable.

This course for the price 30$ is the best deal I have got I drive almost a hour simply off the picture as we are pullin in my buddy in the back seat says"wow good call" green fast and roll good tee box on all but a few flat and well kept. Starter was friendly and told me what I needed to know I don't understand wow this course isn't getting a lot of play it there was about 8 cars in the parking lkt

The greens and fairways were awesome, the tee boxes need some work. Pace of play was extremely slow due to us being behind a group of 32 individuals playing in some kind of tournament.

Course is challenging but fair, greens are new and hard but will hold a well struck shot from a good lie, even though they had a fresh coating of sand on them they rolled true and fast. The course has a wonderful mix of diffent types of holes and shots to keep you interested. If you leave here complaining then you're impossible to please..

This was my first time playing Talamore with the new greens, even though they are extremely fast they were enjoyable to putt on. In a year or two once the greens mature and hold iron shots this will be a top public course in the area. Fairways and rough are in great shape. Best course I've played for $30 in my 25 years of playing golf. Well worth the drive from the Charlotte area.

Fun round at Talamore. Course was in great shape. Starter was very friendly and gave me some good advice since I was first there. Bunkers were in great shape...try and stay out of the pot bunkers

The golf course is a great layout different tees giving all players of opportunities to play the course was in great condition and deafly should be on your golf lesson
