We were told to park in the apartment parking lot across the road. The bag drop looked like it was an international flight baggage claim area and continued downhill from there, with a 20 minute wait just to get carts. For a course that markets itself as a premium experience, you’d expect better organization at check-in.

The pace of play was painfully slow the entire day. We spent more time waiting on every tee box than actually golfing, and there was no marshal to be found to help move things along. It felt like the staff had completely checked out when it came to managing the course.

To make matters worse, it was an extremely hot day (114 heat index) the kind where you really depend on beverage service. Yet the cart girl only came around when we specifically called, which meant long stretches with no water (since the coolers on the course were bone dry) or drinks in sight. That’s unacceptable.

Between the disorganization, slow play, and lackluster service, it’s hard to recommend Talamore. There are plenty of other courses in the area that treat players better and know how to run things efficiently. We won’t be rushing back.

Played here probably 8 years ago in the off season and was amazed then. This time around the course was in excellent condition from tee to green. Greens were quick but still very receptive, making for a great balance of challenge and playability; a lot of gettable par 5s to lower those scores. The layout was fun and engaging, with a nice variety of holes that kept things interesting throughout the round. Best of all, it felt like we had the entire course to ourselves—pace was smooth and relaxed. Highly recommend if you’re in the Pinehurst area. Just avoid all the deep bunkers! That was my one goal for the round and I did it! And don’t forget to see the llamas!

Entire course in fantastic shape. Stayed after to have lunch in clubhouse. Service excellent and food was worth price as sandwiches were over sized

Our round was fabulous. The staff was friendly and informative. The course was is great shape from the tee boxes to the fairways and greens. The greens were rolling a 12 and were true. Had the best hotdogs with fixings at the turn. We will return here when we make a trip back to the Pinehurst area.

Played as part of a trip to the area and haven’t played it since 2015, so excited to see the renovations and play the updated course. Conditions were great and loved the setup and course. Hope to play it again on a return trip to the Sandhills.

It's a shame. It's all about dynamic pricing and gouging people for everything that they will pay. I had a discounted rate of a hundred and fifty nine dollars for a supposed 250 round. I have played this course many times over the years. For everywhere between 45 and 79... when you charge over two hundred dollars per round range balls need to be included. Charging me three dollars.Additional for range balls, and giving me attitude when I question it is not acceptable. We were late, starting and the round took five hours. Never saw a ranger. Conditioning of the course was a good $75 course. I've spent many nights in the pinehurst area and played a lot of rounds of golf . Not sure I'll be back anytime soon.

Great track, pricey. Seemingly tight tee time spacing. No range balls included and club cleaning hawks dialed in at the end.

Starters were a bit confused at the beginning of our round. Otherwise it was a great experience.

While I played in early spring and enjoyed layout , several tee boxes have issues and did not like having to tee off mats. They are also doing a lot of maintenance which will be excellent when paths are completed but nothing mentioned about this. Greens were sold as being very fast but on day played it rolled slow. Just noted to be aware

Talamore was a wonderful course with great conditions in March however the management and customer service was terrible. We started slightly later than our tee time at 3:00 pm with the promise that we'd have no problem finishing. We had to wait for a cart to become available and it ran out of juice on the second hole. The pace of play was worse than the management as we had to wait on every hole, every shot. The drunken foursome, five groups ahead of us held up the entire course and we witness them flipping a cart on the backside of the 12th green. No ranger to move things along. We had to quit after 13 holes due to darkness (7:30 pm). That's right, 13 holes in 4 1/2 hours. They take tee times until 4 pm as well as the entire greens fee. Shame on them. They told me I should come back when it isn't so busy.
