Course is in rough shape
I’ve always had great experiences with the staff, starter, pace of play, and overall experience aside from the course conditions. However, the extreme speed of the greens is enough to keep me from returning. The greens are extremely dry, practically dead, and not a fair putting experience. The fairways are being worked on extensively on holes 13-15, but others need work as well.
We appreciate your feedback and apologize for any inconvenience you experienced with the course conditions, particularly the dry and fast greens. Low Stress Course
Very laid back, country setting. Little bit of Construction on the back 9. Completed 18 in 3.5 hours.

Ground under repair

Back nine is under maintenance. Course is in really really rough conditions right now. Need to fire and hire a landscaping department
The back nine primarily was really poor shape. Greens were very patchy. Can tell whoever is controlling their course maintenance, has no idea what they are doing. Wouldn’t expect this course to look good until next year with how poor it is.

Decent course, but back 9 in poor shape
I like the course, but several holes on back 9 under repair and they didn’t tell us. We skipped one hole entirely due to mud. Not sure if we were supposed to skip it. Group behind us played it.

All I can say is Wow
I took my two sons to play golf there yesterday. Almost $150 to play on that track. I could play The Neuse in Clayton and pay about the same amount for a much better experience. This course is all chewed up. Putts are bumpy going through the weed infested plinko board called a green. 1/2 the course roped off. Hit so many fairways and was rewarded with no grass, just dirt because they're "doing maintenance." This track used to be $25-30 and was nice if you just wanted to work on your game. Now they're charging as much as anyone in johnston county but are not upholding their end of course conditions. Staff is as FRIENDLY as anyone. Not their fault, they cant control what's being offered but golfers BEWARE go somewhere for the same money and get value. None here. WCC, bring your old prices back, all you're gonna do is lose business. I'll play 50× at $25 a round = $1250. Ill play 1X at what you charged me yesterday = $143 (for3). Smart business 101. You don't have the course to charge what you're charging.

Great Course Until Staff Ruined It
The angry pro shop attendant kicked my group off the course while we were in 18’s fairway hitting our shots onto the green because it was “past the time carts were due in & getting dark”! The cart boy had carts lined up to clean & our group could have easily finished in 5-10 minutes while he was still getting caught up. The pace of play was very slow & no starter or ranger patrols the course to speed up play & then they kick you off the course when you don’t finish in time! Quite the business model for a golf course & way to grow the game! I won’t be returning to this course or recommending it to anyone which is a shame because it’s a fun layout & normally in good condition.
