Fairways barely have any grass growing, very hard ground like concrete makes it tough to hit a good shot. The greens are fast as usual but were covered in leaves and dark green weeds that need to addressed asap. Very good grill and pace of play was good despite being packed.

Devil Root
I see an issue developing with the devil root weed.
Small clumps of foreign grass on green surface that can
knock putts off line. The roots of the clumps go deep,
so removing one by one probably not practical.
I hope the superintendent can find a spray or some way to get ahead of this. Overall, greens are still good, fast.

Relaxing no pressure golf
This was my first time to Wendell even though I live in Clayton. Never realized it was so close. Firth time out so the course served it purpose. Fairways were hard surface hard to get under the ball. The greens were challenging. Overall we had a great experience.

Nice course friendly staff no rush for pre game practice
They don't worry if you take time to putt and warm up. No range but 10 Matts with huge net. They don't rush you for your tee time. Only criticism is the greens aren't very big so accuracy is a must. Some greens are so slippery u have to get the ball to roll one rotation to keep it from rolling off the green.

Good little course
I played this course last week using golf now app and it is a nice little course. I played from the blue tees and it plays much longer than the scorecard shows. The course layout is rather interesting. This is not a fancy course, however. The cart path is riddled with cracks and spots of dirt, the Fairway has plenty of patches where grass just doesn't exist. You will definitely get your money's worth playing this course but just don't think you're golfing at the Raleigh Country Club or anything.

You can do better!
I love Wendell CC. Good value! You need to invest in your course and your staff. No Marshall on the course, and the fairways have way too much dirt. Wendell is growing fast and you have much more business than you have had over the last 20 years. Reinvest that money in you course and you will see dividends.
