Needs a little rest
Even after intense rains the night before the fairways conditions and tee boxes are really deteriorating. Maybe plug the main fairways, reseed, fertilizer wouldn't hurt and shut down the course for 10 days maintenance. While at it, let rebuild some or all the tee boxes. I know the members and non mems would appreciate it later. Still a have great greens and wonderful staff.

Nice for the price
Fairways a little rough but not bad. Greens were in great shape. Staff very friendly. Had a great day.

1st timer, last timer
As of today, virtually no grass on the course, mostly dirt and very dry. The greens are incredibly sloped and very difficult to putt. On one hole I had a 6 foot uphill putt that touched the front lip and rolled back, downhill and off the green and ended up 45 feet away. For sure I would never play here again. Would not recommend this course at all.

Good Value for the Money
This golf course is a good value for the money. Tee to green was in ok shape....about what I expected. Fairways were hard due to a lack of recent rain. The greens were in great shape. They held pretty well and putted true.

Get the Pimento Masters sandwich
On top of the fantastic greens and super challenging layout, do not pass up the Pimento cheese sandwich. It made the day even better. This venue is both welcoming to the Senior player and the twice a month regular. It's varying ups and downs make it a great day of golf. Will return for the golf, food and fantastic golf.

Challenging & Fun Layout
Each hole is its own hole, and there are challenges throughout that are fair. The greens roll smooth and quick, and are receptive. A true joy for golf in the triangle for the price!!

Good course to play a round
Easy to get to, quick service, carts in good shape. 2 bottles of water on the cart was appreciated. Coolers on all carts. Once of play was a bit so, but it was on a 65 and sunny day. Would surely take friends for a round. One advice, add a course layout on the cart window- their is a clear plastic sleeve already set for to.

SOLID 4 Stars - Hidden Gem
5 star experience but only a 4 star course(not a bad thing) If the greens were better this could easily be a 5 star course, with that being said the greens were fine especially for a February round. I found it to be great that the course provides you with 2 bottled waters on the cart. They also have a “driving range/net” that is free. Will be back , maybe today… (;

Great overall course
Easy to play and challenging at the same time. The grounds are very well maintained and you can tell the staff knows how to grow grass not buy sod! The open layout makes everything very forgiving and the greens are healthy and smooth. First time playing this and we are already talking about when our next round will be!

Great hidden course
First round at Wendell country club. Course is in great shape. Greens are fast on approaching shots and medium on putting. Greens are small which made it challenging yet fun. Will definitely head back for future rounds.

Exceptional value
In the Raleigh area for the holidays and what a present this was, I’ll be sure to find it again mid-summer when the Bermuda is thriving. A hidden gem, in my opinion, a good challenge for the players and probably a great spot for beginners. Terrific December conditions and super-friendly staff made for an enjoyable morning. I had the first tee time of the day and played in 3 hours. No logo balls in the golf shop though, had to settle for a poker cop instead, hopefully, they stock some logo balls because I’ll be back.
