First time at Wendell. Check in was easy - carts were great. Generally a typical round of golf - not too many tree challenges and bunkers. Long par 3's. Some approaches to holes could be a bit confusing. Greens were fast but seemed a bit artificial - rolled and painted- sort of synthetic. All in all a good round of golf. Would recommend.

First time playing here, didn't have great expectations. Was pleasantly surprised though. Greens were in good shape, and fast! Fairways were a bit thin in spots( it is winter), but the layout was fun and interesting. Not a long course at 6100 yds from the tips, but plenty enough challenge for a 10 handicapper like me. If you're expecting top notch, private country club conditions, look elsewhere. But if you live near the Wendell area, definitely check it out.

Have played this course in the past. I will keep coming back. Can't beat the price! Great staff that aims to please!

Worth the drive to play this course. Has several blind tee shots which can get you into trouble finding your ball. Enjoyed the outing, but glad we had a breeze to keep a little cool.

This course is a great practice course. Rates are reasonable, and the condition of the course reflects in its rate. It is cheaper to walk 9 holes than to go to a driving range.

This course is an excellent place to work on your short game.

Hadn't been to Wendell in several months. The greens are in excellent condition...they are grainy but roll true and no bare spots. There are some bare spots in the fairways but not enough to cause concern. This is a great, fun play using Golf Now. Very forgiving for beginners but some challenging par 3's from the back tees (6150 yds).

Played this course about a year ago and wasn't expressed. After talking to a few friends they said I should give it another try. So I played it yesterday and boy am I glad I did, besides making some new friends the course was in great shape. And the price we got from golfnow didn't hurt either. I will be playing here more often.

We've played there twice and really enjoyed it both times. The greens are great, the layout is really good and the staff have been fantastic. Lunch at the turn was good and cheap. Would love to play there more if we lived closer.

This is one of my favorite courses in the Raleigh area. The greens and most of the fairways and rough are decently kept.

I hate to bash a golf course because the manger or whoever seemed very nice. But this course is rough the greens had just been aerated so definitely not their fault there but were impossible to play on but looked like they would be decent otherwise. But the fairways not playable in spots. There are 30 yard if not bigger patches of grass missing. Drives rolled out awesome. I don't see how they can charge 35 dollars to play out there. After playing 7 different courses this month from varying greens fees this one was the worst. The clubhouse was very nice if that means anything.

I played this course last year and they were in the midst of upgrading the course. Unfortunately, it seemed like the improvements did not survive the winter. It is a fun course, great for beginners and those that just like hitting the ball. This year, apparently a militia group moved into the neighborhood. Gunshots were constant during the ENTIRE round. It was NOT a peaceful afternoon.

I probably won't be back.

Played here today and the course was in terrible shape. Hardly any grass on the fairway or tee boxes, greens were ok, but still not great. The nats were unbearable I could barely play on the back nine. This place really has to do some work to get it up to par ,it wasn't even a bargain for the $10 I paid, I could have had added 4 more bucks to that and played somewhere decent. I will not be returning here until they get this place turned into a golf course

The clubhouse here at Wendell has always treated me very friendly no matter how/when/where I booked the round or what day of the week it happens to be. The track itself is a challenging one in my opinion with plenty of distance from the blues that send you to small and very tricky putting greens. The day I played was after a recent ice storm and there was clean up going on to remove tree limbs that fell onto different areas of the course but it did not affect my enjoyment as the crew doing the work was also very aware of me playing and stopped as I hit my drives on those holes (thanks guys!). Ill be back on warmer days to try and better my score but I recommend this course to anyone looking for a warm welcome and fun day on the links.

They've recovered well from last year's winter kill. The fairways and greens are nice. The tee boxes and cart paths could use some work though. I enjoy golf here on a regular basis.
