MetroWest Golf Club
About
This Robert Trent Jones Sr. design is one of the area’s most venerable venues. The fluid beauty of MetroWest provides for a challenging but playable experience. Wide rolling fairways give all levels of players the opportunity to find the short grass, and the four sets of tees working from 7,051 yards down to the 5,325-yard forward tees make hitting greens in regulation a reasonable endeavor. No push over, though, bunkers seem to anchor every corner on every dogleg and elevation changes of up to 100 feet in some circumstances tug back in the course’s favor.

Twin rivers
Extremely slow pace and with that our games went to the trashcan
Metro west
Course was in great condition. Greens were fast and the weather was pretty cold
Has potential
The course itself is fun, wide open and very playable. The greens were excellent. The course feels like it used to be amazing and was neglected for years. The club house feels empty almost abandoned. It seems to be coming back to life though. Carts are new. I would recommend to go.
Finally in good shape
After years of disrepair & neglect, the course is finally taking shape and in decent playing conditions. They now have new golf carts which soon will have a mounted GPS. Greens were running fast and true. Practice range being worked on and soon will be usable again.
Continuing to Comeback
The course played a few shots harder during our round because of the speed and firmness of the greens, which were recovering from a top-sanding. The course has dried out weel from the hurricanes and continues to regain the lushness that it had in the past. For the price, this is a must play if visiting Orlando.
Best value in the area!
Course was excellent and so was the weather. I will be back!
Conditions
For the amount I paid the course was in bad conditions. Too many greens under construction. The was a threesome behind us that was pushing on our game when we were not able to play any faster because we had a foursome in front of us, but the marshall told us to speed up play with no where to go.
Definitely not worth the $75 per person that was paid.
Much Improved Course and Carts
After reading many reviews, I decided to book this course. The course was in pretty good shape. It was a wide open course, very forgiving. I’m am an ok player but my husband plays much better than I. We both found this course to be very nice. Lots of elevation, 9 out of 18 holes were elevated. Nice change from the South Florida courses we usually play at. The staff were very friendly. And thankfully, the carts have been updated. I saw in many reviews the carts were trash. Not so today. We will definitely be playing here again the next time we are in the Orlando area.
Much better condition than it was.
They’re finallly putting money into the course and it really shows. New carts also, soon to have GPS
Metro west
The course was in great condition but I didn’t play very good
Do Recommend
I/we very much enjoyed playing this course. As a surprise bonus, we were the first players to use their brand-new electric carts. So sweet! FYI, I found the Lady's tees played fairly to slightly difficult.
Getting better
At one time this was a premier course but it had gone very down in recent years. This time the greens and fairways were good but tee boxes hardly had any great in most cases. They still have a lot of work to do to bring this back to a good standard. It would be nice to add a forward tee also since the shortest now is over 5300 yards and for many that is a stretch making it discouraging . Staff were friendly. Cart paths are in poor shape . The cart path on 16 has a huge hole in it and although there were cones around it, it is very dangerous.
Not impressed
First time playing this course. From Europe and have played a lot of courses all over Europe. Hcp: +0,4
Greens were in good conditions. Tees were like potato fields. No signs no where about where to go between holes. No yardage book or sign with the tees so you had to guess where to go.
The staff at the course acted like they didn’t want you there.
Conditions
Tee boxes and fairways were in poor condition. Greens were fair.
It’s BACK
I have been playing here since 2005 and many times not for years at a time as was so bad!!!! This is the best I have scene the greens and fairways since 2005!!! All new sand in bunkers as well. Cart paths are terrible. Range is terrible. Pro shop is very small but gets you checked in. They are getting all new carts 11/19!!!! Definitely a great value for money. Played a Monday am and was EMPTY!!! Get it while it’s good again!!!!!!
