Santa Anita Golf Course

The course is flat and has wide fairways. Perfect for those who may slice more than they expected lol. I’ve played here a few times and am definitely coming back.

I bought my golfnow deal at play at 3:57pm on Friday for $25 each player with carts plus the booking fee. When I get there, there staff asked me to pay for the cart for $12.50 each person. I shows them the booking and screen shot of the deal which said carts were included. They told me GOLFNOW made a mistake and they couldn’t honor the deal. Either I pay for the cart or not playing. One guy by the Adam even told me not to book on GOLFNOW and could of saved myself booking fees. I don’t know what’s going on between GOLFNOW and this course. I have been using GOLFNOW for several years and this is the only course gave me such a hard time. I felt the animosity from 3 separate staffs asking them to honor the GOLFNOW deal. Overall it’s an horrible experience for me even though I like the course.

Had a 7:57am tee time on Friday.

Usually get round in sun 4 hrs. This is the 2nd week running we’ve been over 4:30hrs.

We were back up by 4th hole. There were 4 groups playing the par 4 5th.

When we got to hole 14 we saw a 6 ball walking up 16 and a 5 ball putting out on 17.

These guys must have been out at around 7am.

Please Santa Anita… don’t let 5 & 6 balls play!

Don't waste your time with this course, not only was the staff at the pro shop rude but the course looked like it hadn't been touched all year. Concrete hard tee boxes and barely any grass on the greens. It's very noisy and you can hear the high school band practicing across the entire back 9.The only redeeming quality was a beautiful view of the mountains. Left 3 messages for the general manager to complain about being charged for a cart (which was clearly included) and he has yet to return my call. Huge disappointment, just being honest.

Played on a Saturday morning. Little over a 5 hour round and teed off 20 minutes late. Nice little track but the pace was atrocious, waited on every tee box

While the view of the mountains was beautiful, this course was a huge disappointment. Dried out, horribly maintained greens and rude pro shops staff who argued that I didn’t have a cart included when I did. It’s also surrounded by very busy streets and in the afternoon the high school marching band practices and you can hear it clearly across much of the back nine. First and last time for me. Just being brutally honest which I would hope everyone else is when they review courses.

Great work by staff and crew to revive the greens out there!!! There's still a few difficult areas. But, this is so much better than the last time out there. Thank you.

The greens were in bad shape. There was little to no grass. Looked like they were just scraped and would not hold approach shots.

The boys and I had a good time. We hit a golf balls and drank beer. One time a guy made a good one. Tanks for the course.

The course was in great shape, both fairways and greens. The staff was very friendly. The pace of play was great, we finished in less than 4.5 hrs.

Fairway condition is so so.

Green is good condition.

Some of fairway is very day so too difficult to play iron.

Need to improve dry area and course management.

But good price performance course.
