Golfer Reviews
Springdale… Resort?
I’m not sure why they call themselves a “resort”. They let a group of 10 fraternity boys tee off together in front of us. Slow play. Fast greens, but the apron is in terrible shape. The whole fraternity stopped for snacks at the turn so we passed them. They’ve put money into a new clubhouse, but the course is probably worth about $48/round. Not worth $80, especially since you have to go by the smelly paper mill in nearby Canton. Peaceful mountain setting, but I live in the area and there are certainly better mountain courses for the money. The “spasm” is just another par 4.
Diverse layout of course. Great condition and challenging. Some Long par 4s.
Springdale is great for anyone
Springdale CC is in great shape, except for the fringes of the green. They had just been top dressed and made it difficult to chip or put out of but they should be fine in a week. Test of the course was in very good shape. Plenty of tees to choose from. The views are wonderful so you can enjoy the day even if your game is not so good. It’s about 40 minutes from Weaverville but an easy trip.

An absolute beautiful mountain course. Loved every bit of it!
A challenging & beautiful course
Course is in great shape. Staff very friendly and helpful. Certainly worth the trip for a great golf experience. I’ll be coming back.
Jeremy Boone
I made a point of learning the greens keepers name as I really wanted to meet him and thank him in person for doing an outstanding job taking care of this mountain gem. It has not gone unnoticed his density of thought and attention to detail to restoring and maintaining this jewel.
Thank you sir and your crew as I look forward to one day saying that in person.

Can’t think of any where in North Carolina I would rather play
Great shape, good course to play. Great value.
Course was in very good condition and greens were ok fast. Pace of play was great. Rarely ever had to wait. Staff was great and friendly helping me to navigate my way around at a course I'd never been to before. Great scenic views on many holes. Tooks lots of pictures. Had perfect weather. Was a great day.
Betty's Review
I have always enjoyed playing Springdale. All the employees are friendly and helpful. It is defiantly a challenge to play and keeps your game interesting.
Always fun to to meet new friends.
Friday at Springdale
Third time playing this course. It is beautiful and in great shape. I have teed off near noon all three times and two of the rounds have been over 4 hours and 45 minutes. Once was a seniors special price day, so I get it. Yesterday we were a threesome, behind two foursomes. There were at least 4 vacant holes open in front of the foursomes. Might have been just bad luck catching two groups who were slow or inexperienced golfers. Next time will pay more for an earlier tee time and get the round in under 4 hours.
Great views and great golf
Rivaling the Grove Park Inn for views and much less in costs. Friendliest staff in NC. A truly great experience. Enjoyed all aspects of this course. We will definitely be back.
First rate course with beautiful scenes on every hole. Will definitely be back.
Best course value with challenging but fair holes. Rivaling Grove Park Inn. Spectacular from every point of view.
