The Golf Club at Ballantyne

Nice layout, well maintained, super fast greens. Staff is great, and all in all had a good time. There was a 3 some holding up the entire course and even though we did see a Marshall roaming around, nothing was done about it. What should have been a nice 4 hour round on a non bust day, turned into 5.

The overall course was excellent, well laid out.
The greens were lightning quick, so I'd advise spending 30 minutes on the practice greens first and if possible leave yourself an uphill putt.

You get one of the best public courses in town. Downfall is the price. It is pricey; however in the fall and winter deals come out to keep you golfing year round. Pace is slow at times. Great putting and chipping grounds.

The course at Ballanytne was in great shape. It was very fun to play and has several very scenic views. I will definitely be back.

I'm new to the Charlotte area, and have not played too many courses yet. However, I do play a lot of golf, and this course is definitely a top tier course. The tee boxes and fairways are very well manicured, and the greens are almost PGA Tour quality. They are very fast and fairly firm.

The only con I have (and it's very minor) is the routing. The front plays more difficult than the back and has less vaiety. There's only one par five and two par threes. In contrast, there are three par fives and three par threes on the back. If you score well on the front, you should have no problem carrying it over to the back.

Overall, I highly recommend playing here. They do a fantastic job with the course maintenance. I haven't found another public course within a half hour (of South Park) that compares.

This was first time playing this course for $55 it was a good value, staff was friendly and starter was very informative. Course played as marked and greens were very fast. I would go back for same price. The normal price is just to high as there are other courses around area that are just as nice.

We were really excited to play this course on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. When we checked in, the pro told us that there are no carts available. What?? Got our carts 10 minutes after our tee time but still had to wait 10 more minutes to tee off due to a back up on the 1st tee. Pace of play was awful. On the turn a ranger caught up with us to see how things were going and proceeded to tell us we were "doing well" to have played the front 9 in just over 3 hours. Guy was delusional. Right after that a twosome cut us making our round even longer. I'd go back on a week day or when they stop overbooking the weekends. For what they charge per round, you would think it would be a pleasant experience, not to mention they nickel and dime you for range balls.

Course in very nice condition. Recommended only if you can get a deal on GolfNow.com. Otherwise too pricy.

Great course ...love the fast greens but they stack the t-times too close together. Constantly waiting on every shot during weekend rounds. Marshall will ask if you've seen a ranger ...than apologize since you haven't but still never see a ranger....

Very well kept course. Fairways undulate everywhere setting up uncertain bounces and rolls. Loved the design of the course with plenty of water hazards and bunkers although I would have liked an occasional dogleg hole. Very friendly service with a small pro shop. Practice area has a grass driving range and not mats. Greens were REALLY FAST and the slopes made putts challenging.

New to the Charlotte area but this is by far the nicest course I've played around here. If you come to Charlotte or live near here you must play this course. We enjoyed it so much we are going back out tomorrow.

If you catch the deals during the week on "GolfNow" it's the best deal in the area...

The course was it great condition. The greens were quick and true. Enjoyed the layout of the course.

I used to work here and after playing, it made me want my old job back! Great course, challenging but very fun! Greens are immaculate!

I play this course a lot and overall had been somewhat disappointed with its condition in 2013. Last year this course was pristine, in as good of shape as any course in the area.

This year the greens just weren't as good. I played yesterday and they punched the greens 3 weeks ago and I am happy to say the greens are almost as good and fast as they were last year. There are still some dead spots on a few greens that are not so nice but the majority of the greens are doing well.

Fairways were in great shap for amount of rain, but greens are some of the worst I have ever played. SLOW. Bumpy

The staffr were very friendly and the pace of play was about 4. 5 hours

Greens had been aerified this week so cannot speak to the greens but tee conditions were very poor. Other than that it was really good and a fair price through the golf now discount of 35%
