Great Layout, Great Greens, Great Character. Hard to beat if you can get the right price.
Fastest greens I've ever played in Charlotte. Great value if you can grab one of the hot deals. Pace of play can be slow.
Nice Course
The Golf Course provided a reasonable challenge, and the staff was accommodating and friendly. Lots of change of elevations, and for first time play, it did have some challenges for any ball not played precisely in the fairway. Lost as many balls as I found. Bermuda rough did hide a lot of my shots.
Top tier public play
Ballantyne is a great track and must play for the Charlotte area.

thank you golfnow,would not pay the usual green fee to play this course,had played it 10 years ago when it was fairly new,enjoyed it.The layout is not anything above many courses in the area for half the cost.If it had not been for the golf now price i would have not played.I will look next summer to see if the offer more deals,as of recent the course is back to there "over priced" fees.Tobacco road is less expensive to play and 10 times the course,go figure
A beautiful course. Should appeal to all types of players.
I have played this course once. Got a great rate through Golfnow. The course winds through hill and dale following a creek. Greens an fairways are pristine. The rough is sometimes quite difficult.
I can't think of any reason to not like this course. Fair test of golf.
Ballantyne!!!!
This is a fabulous course and it is easily reached from 485. We got a super deal on GOLFNOW and that made the experience even more worthwhile. Golf at Ballantyne is very close to the country club experience. The greens were running 12 the day we played which was incredible. Great course and a great day!
One of the most challenging golf course in Charlotte area.
Pretty fast greens, narrow fairways, thickened grasses in rough, etc.. But, enjoy next time!!
