About
Neuse Golf Club was ranked as one of the best public golf courses in North Carolina, second only to Pinehurst. The layout winds along the Neuse River across rolling hills that are dotted with rocky outcroppings. Towering, mature pines accent the landscape as well, especially along the fairways. Each hole provides a dramatically different challenge and unique scenery. Views of the winding river can be enjoyed on almost every hole. A variety of bunkers and doglegs are strategically placed throughout the golf course, demanding both accuracy and thoughtful strategy. The design closely follows the natural contours of the hilly terrain. Dramatic elevation changes guarantee that flat lies will be hard to find. The golf course is no easy feat but the beautiful scenery and interesting hole designs will appeal to any player.

Cancels tee time without warning or explanation
Caveat emptor! Visiting RDU for a golf weekend and the Neuse cancelled our tee time a week before our visit. We weren’t given a heads up, an explanation or a rebooked tee time. Threw a wrench into our plans as we scrambled for last second tee time elsewhere while all the courses we wanted to play were already booked since it was so close to the day.
Great course all around
Really hot day but their water cooler game is on point. Reasonably tricky course on some holes yet rewarding and a lot of fun, definitely makes you think twice on where to place it.
Only issue I had was the men’s bathroom on the 14th hole was a mess. Other than that, great time. I wish they would offer more tee times on here.
Good local course
Hot day for golf but enjoyed the round. Green rolling slow and not taking the break but other than that, nothing bad to say. Always enjoy my rounds here!!

Greens still recovering
Greens are still recovering from aeration and several bunkers need more sand added. Other than this, course was playing good, fairways and tee boxes in great shape.
OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE
This is a must-play course if you're withing 50 miles of it. Although the course was challenging, it was very fair. The staff was great, the food was very good, and the course is in fantastic shape, even though the greens were still bumpy from punching. I will definitely tell others and will certainly come back!

Greens were in great shape tee boxes great shape. All around a good round of golf. Definitely will be back
