The Ridge Golf Course & Events Center

The Ridge was in excellent shape. Tee boxes and fairways were pristine. The greens are still recovering from being aerated, but they were coming along nicely. The bunkers were a bit of letdown; some were nice, while others were muddy.

I always enjoy The Ridge and I will certainly be returning.

Course condition is equal to any pristine country club in California. Excellent turf everywhere.

April 20 2025. The course conditions are excellent. Fairways are green carpet. Putting greens are recovering from being punched a few weeks ago. A bit slower than usual but true. Actually more forgiving than the usual summer speed which can be harrowing. Highly recommended.

4th time playing here over past two years and the course is consistently in very good shape. Tough 1st hole to get you started and I always enjoy the entire layout. Played on a Saturday afternoon this time and the pace of play was pretty slow. Took almost 5 hours, mostly due to the group in front of us, since there was never anyone we could see ahead of them. Would have been nice to have a Marshall out there moving them along.

My 6th game here. Even though there was recent heavy rains the course was not muddy. Drains well. I arrived as a single. Got joined by a 3 some of friendly locals. We had fun. Pace of play was 3 hours 45 minutes. The course is challenging. The secret is to play conservatively. Keep the ball on the short grass and you’ll do fine. I carry a 17 handicap. Shot an 87 from the blue tees because I focused on accuracy and not smashing a long ball.

Even on a cold and windy winter day this course is playable. It rained for several days and yet the course drains well. Very few mushy fairway areas. Though some sand bunkers were ponds. Nice friendly helpful employees. On occasion GOLFNOW sometimes has an $89 deal for two golfers includes shared cart. Well worth the price.

Having not played here in some time I thought I would give The Ridge a try. Don't waste your time, or good money. The course conditions were not good in my opinion. Lots of GUR areas on most holes except par 3s. I seemed like every other hole was cart path only or part of the hole. Course was surprisingly wet for this time of year, haven't had much rain lately. The greens were very fast which I like, but be below the hole if possible. I think I'll wait till next spring before I come back.

Hilly terrain. I'm physically fit but would never consider walking this course. But last week the superintendent had cart path only for the entire wet and soft layout due to previous day heavy rain. The carts have GPS which disable the drivetrain if you attempt to cross into forbidden territory. So, I got to walk a LOT this game. Returned home quite tired.

Beautiful California foothills scenery. Sparse forest, chaparral rough. Some very narrow fairways. I'm a 16 handicap. I plan to lose 5 balls per round, but while searching for my balls I'll find 10 others. Always come home with more balls than before the game. Unfortunately Pro V-1's are not a popular find.

Restaurant is highly regarded, though I've never eaten there. Books lots of weddings and other events.

Personnel are friendly and helpful. I've played this track 5 times as a single. Always was paired with delightful guys who played happy games.

Golf Now green fees are usually in the mid $40 range. Well worth that toll.
