The Ridge Golf Course & Events Center

Well manicured fairways, playable bunkers,plenty of trees for shade, nice tee boxes and smooth greens. The greens are really undulating which pose a lot of challenge. Usually rewarded for good shots. Carts are equipped with a nicely designed layout of holes with accurate distances. Only criticism would be a lack of drinking water on the course. A beverage cart would have been appreciated as well.

We had fantastic weather even though we drove through the snowy Sierras to play there. We loved the course layout but were disappointed in two things. We were not aware that they had punched the greens so they were very sandy and bumpy.

The next issue was they were having a clinic that morning so they closed the range until 11, which was our tee time and the putting green was filled with nearly a dozen people for the putting clinic. Long story short, really no way to properly warm up before our round, very disappointing to say the least.

However, i would travel back there, 2+ hours from home, to play the course again!

I've played The Ridge many times and I have always enjoyed it. The course conditions and layout is one of the reasons I return. The only thing that hampered this round is the pace of Play. By the end of the round, the cart's GPS system indicated we were 40 minutes behind pace of Play.

No notice that greens were punched and back 9 was closed waste off money

As we were told ahead of time, they were plugging the front 9 so we played the back 9 two times. NOTE: the Back 9 has since been plugged. The course was in great shape. The greens were fast and did not hold unless you know how to put a lot of spin on the ball. (not a complaint, just an observation). By now all the plugging has been done so take this review accordingly. If you hate traffic noise, maybe go elsewhere as this course has 3-4 holes that are near a road with constant traffic.

The Ridge is coming out of winter in pretty good shape, The greens were punched about 10 days before we played and they were still a little rugged. Challenging as always into the greens. Good test of golf

As always, the Ridge delivered as expected. The course was in great shape, putting was the name of the game. Rather tough greens when one hasn’t putted on greens like those in awhile. My one complaint is their driving range. It’s always been hitting off mats when ever I have played there. They do have a fair sized grass area in front of the mats but I have never hit off of it. Their mats were some what of a JOKE. As much play as they get I would think they could afford new mats. Also they only have a couple of range marker, how about more range flags with distance on them.

The course is in good condition, had to skip a hole because the group in front just too slow.

For winter conditions the course was in good shape. Fairways were damp in some areas, to be expected but very good lies, great turf conditions.

We would’ve rated this higher but recent rains and course condition (muddy and wet) weren’t the best. Nevertheless we will return soon as it is a very nice set up and good value.

PS: For the course maintenance team, it would be nice if you would fill the drinking water and club cleaners with water ! All were dry.

Par 3 were challenging from blue tees rained day before so slower round with cart path only
