About
Lockwood Folly Country Club is a superbly conditioned, semi-private, member owned "hidden gem". The course is located at the confluence of the Intracoastal Waterway and the Lockwood Folly River, providing golfers with breathtaking vistas of tidal estuary, moss covered hard- woods and the solitude of nature. Tree lined, nonparallel fairways winding through hardwoods and pine afford a sense of seclusion while challanged with championship golf.

Golfer Reviews
greens rolled nice. fairways a little thin.
enjoyed this course. played with 2 women who were very talented. would have preferred more seeding on fairways but overall very enjoyable experience. last 4 holes a fairly heavy fog rolled in adding to the unique experience. saw 2 small gators one blue bird and multiple Grey and black squirrels.
temp 55 clear sky. course was nice. greens were slow understandable for the time of year..
Winter Golf
Enjoy the layout, although a bit too many water hazards that come into play. Fairways had a lot of bare spots in them due to no over seeding. Greens seem to be in pretty good shape although they were somewhat slow. Moved around quickly as there were not a lot of players in the afternoon.
Greenskeeper is a sadist
The pin positions when I played were nightmare fuel, a double putt felt like a birdie. Very challenging course design, lots of fun. Well maintained and great conditions!
Slow Motion at Lockwood Folly
Love the place..but, this is the second time in a row..round took 4.5 hours….
Much improved
Course was terribly last spring when I last reviewed it. Greens were terrible and virtually unputtable. This November the greens were excellent. Since the course has a nice layout, I am so glad it’s back in good shape. Whatever you did to the course to improve the conditions, please keep it up
Excellent golf off the beaten track!
We found Lockwood Folly on our trip home from Myrtle Beach, we wanted to play one more round. It was a pleasant surprise! Delicious nearby local cafe for breakfast in Supple, NC. Friendly staff and great course to play. A lot of water so you need to pay close attention. Nice conditions. Greens a little hard to read and challenging but tons of fun and rewarding if you make your putt! Number 18 is a par 5 with absolutely gorgeous scenery ! Beautiful day! Would definitely play there again!
Very scenic..well layer out
Very impressed overall. For just over $40 it was a real bargain. Considering it is just about November really can't complain about conditions. Many tees to choose from and playing with 2 residents really helped...I will be back for sure
