Great way to spend the fourth! Great staff and great golf. Everything is dry in NC but the course was still in great shape for the most part, greens were well kept.

A hidden gem. First time playing Rivers Edge and it was fantastic. Great views with a ton of character. Definitely a challenging course. Staff was great and course was in great condition. Will play again soon.

We played at 2:40 and had to wait for the group ahead of us quite a bit. Beautiful course and nice layout. Some holes are very challenging. Would definitely play again.

I’ve now played Rivers’ Edge three times recently, and each time we’ve stopped early due to pace and conditions. The last two rounds ended after 9 holes, and today we quit after 8.

Today’s pace was especially bad — 2 hours and 20 minutes for not even a full 9 holes. There were no rangers on the course to manage pace of play.

On top of that, the greens are in poor shape, making the round frustrating rather than enjoyable.

The course has potential, but until the greens improve and pace-of-play is actually enforced, it’s hard to justify playing here.

love this course, have lived in the area now for 3 years. BEAUTIFUL golf course, some of the best views waterside in the area. but why - why can't they get the greens moving? just won't keep making the trip from Southport, will frequent other places. the greens are just so slow. and it's regularly. Get them moving - it is JULY. They seem content to live off their 'beauty' reputation while protecting their greens. Sorry to see that.....

Played River's Edge as part of a Golf trip last week. The staff was extremeley friendly. The course was absoultley beautiful and in great shape, the best greens we played in our 4 rounds of the trip. We have been going on a Myrtle Beach trip for 5 years and always try to play some of the top courses in the area. River's Edge is in that class. We will definitley play again.

Have played this 'could be gem' about 6, 7 times now, since moving to the lower eastern short part of NC, in April 2022. They can never quite get the course to excellence. only 1 or 2 times have the greens been right, the rest, they have been shaggy terribly slow with nothing but excuses as to why. a whole new set today, when I called and spoke with RJ, a long time worker and apparent PGA professional. I was polite as I could be and I could tell she took offense, which is a shame. There is no reason for greens to STILL be shaggy and slow on May 9. April - OK - I will give you transition from winter to summer grass, heavy seasonal play, etc. (all the area courses deal with this). I told her to fix the problem. No need to go back at $60 or $65, I can play much cheaper coarse's with poor greens. She was even a bit snarky when I mentioned an area competitor - mocking their prices, which I told her she was oblivious about, if you are a county resident. Not a good call, not even a 'I will call you when we have the greens running properly'. a poor customer satisfaction call for sure. that said, the layout by Arnie is MAGNIFICENT. need to be hitting shots with your irons to score. Finishing 4 holes are spectacular.

new to Brunswick county, 2nd time here in 2 months. great track. only reason to not give it a 5 is that greens were very furry. good shape but slow. pace was slow, seemed to be double booking, sending people of back and front and criss-crossing, led to a slow round. excellent design, tough, played from 6300 tees. front 9, a bit long, back 9 a bit short. finishing 3 holes are remarkable, along the marsh. not much room for error off tees and on approach shots. #9 is one of toughest holes in the area. very fair value. will play again and again.

I really like this course, it has a good layout, conditions are good and the scenery is very appealing. It is certainly one of the better courses in the Myrtle area.

The holes along the Shallotte River offer scenic vistas. Clubhouse has a great deck to watch golfers on the 9th and 18th hole.
