Lockwood Folly Country Club

This course is a great value and has a good, picturesque layout with numerous bunkers and water hazards. The people are friendly and courteous. There are nice views of the Lockwood River Inlet on the closing hole. Bermuda greens were in good shape but a little slower than usual (perhaps recently plugged and sanded?).

We enjoyed our golf at Lockwood Folly. It was our first Time playing the course this year and, as before we had an enjoyable day.

The fairway grass was a little shorter than I prefer but was in good condition. The greens were smooth and hole placement challenging but fair.

I did think that a couple of holes should have been cart path only because some previous golfers had driven through some low, wet areas that will be a problem till attended.

There were several fours ahead of us and we still completed our round in under 3-1/2 hours.

Got a great deal on here, you can't beat 30$ for riding 18 really anywhere. About an hour from where I am in Wilmington, but an easy drive. Great to see part of the waterway and play a new course.

I say an every club course in the title because that's what I had to do for the first time in my 4 years of playing the game. Plenty of tee shots make you want to go long but there are plenty of bunkers and water holes that make you only want to hit out anywhere from 175 to maybe 245 yards out from the whites. It was quite a challenge for me but a positive new approach for my game.

The fairways were great, a little tight on a couple but in great shape. Only 2 greens were sub par with some thinning areas that were sandy. Wind is always in play because the course is on the coast but the whole area has so many trees that sometimes its blocked out for you.

All in all I want to play again there a few more times for sure!

Ps. Make sure to ask the proshop or cart manager for a yardage card. It really helped when hazards weren't visible from the tee.

This was a nice experience. The course condition mid rating was from the wet conditions on the course, not maintenance. Found myself arguing about which club and distance to use because if well placed hazards. Will play here 9/2 2020 in the World Am Championship.

Lockwood Folly CC is a great community course that it difficult but fair play. Good value. Hurricane Issas gave them issues along with 12 inches of rain but they are recovering.

Played Lockwood Foll today with my wife. Very nice layout. The course was extremely wet, but only CPO on a few holes. The course conditions were pretty good and it is more than obvious that the spring and fall seasons will find this course in excellent shape. The clubhouse and restaurant was very nice, Great views of the sound and a wonderful place to have a beer and lunch after the round. The staff from the starter, counter people, ranger, and restaurant personnel were excellent. We would definitely like to come back and play again on a drier day. fun day and nice place.

Our first time playing here and we enjoyed ourselves. Playing it 2 weeks after the hurricane passed through, course had some rough spots where damage took place. But the greens were very good as were 95% of fairways. Enjoyed the layout, definitely had to hit the fairways off the tee if you wanted to score. The staff was very pleasant and a member asked to join our threesome and he was a pleasure to play with. We will go back as the overall experience was great, with a. Bonus of being a great value.

Very enjoyable round of golf. Perfect course for a Saturday on vacation.

Course management is crucial. Large greens, challenging putts. .

Golf course was in great shape. Our experience here was terrific.

Several of the greens are garbage and some are in great condition. Otherwise its in very good shape. I paid $30 on a Saturday morning, worth it.
