About
Lockwood Folly Country Club is a superbly conditioned, semi-private, member owned "hidden gem". The course is located at the confluence of the Intracoastal Waterway and the Lockwood Folly River, providing golfers with breathtaking vistas of tidal estuary, moss covered hard- woods and the solitude of nature. Tree lined, nonparallel fairways winding through hardwoods and pine afford a sense of seclusion while challanged with championship golf.

Spring golf
Not bad, greens were good. Fairways were thin as expected for this time of year
Fun course
Interesting layout, Not easy.. Pick the right tees for ability. Would play again.
Pin placement
A couple of pin placements were in unfair locations.
Solid B+
Nice conditions for winter golf. Greens rolled true. Great bunkers. Great course for the price. Will play it again.

Some pins were in poor places.
Other than that, it’s a great course to play.
Enjoyable,variety of golf holes.
Never have had a bad experience at this golf course between being in decent shape to play and a beautiful variety of golf holes throughout . Challenging but playable for all handicaps.

Love this course. Super fun lay out. Course looks great. The greens are speedy. Staff is spectacular. Love the vibe of this whole place.
Nice layout
The course was much improved since last spring. I would not have recommended it to a friend then.
Great experience
Absolutely gorgeous course. The staff here are some of the nicest people you'd ever meet. The course is and really nice shape. Greens are super quick. They will test you. Always a fantastic day when you play Lockwood 👌
Smooth true greens -rough around the edges
On a windy but dry day we played this challenging layout on the intercoastal waterway between Oak Island and Holden Beach NC. The greens were in excellent fairways too. Unfortunately you need an off road shock resistant vehicle for the cart paths. The off fairway areas are variable as you might expect. Unfortunately, even with an 11 AM tee time no food available on drink cart or half way house and food service shut down at 3 PM. Bring food if you have mid-morning tee time. I like playing this course and the staff is warm, friendly, and helpful. Greens were oustanding, if only the players would fix pitch marks and pick up they're feet when walking them!
