About
Sea Scape Golf Links in Kitty Hawk, N.C. is one of the premier courses on the Outer Banks. The course has the feel of a traditional Scottish links layout thanks to the seaside location and landscape of windswept dunes. The golf course differs from a classic open links design because of the coastal forests that accent the terrain, which provides some shelter from the ocean breezes. The vibrant blue waters contrast beautifully with the dark green treetops. The most challenging feature of the golf course is the constant up and down. Golfers will face uneven lies as well as blind shots. Sea Scape Golf Links is relatively short at 6,131 yards from the back tees but it plays longer due to the variety of elevation changes, which range from subtle to dramatic.

Nice Course
Course was in good condition overall. A nice amount of elevation change and blind shots, particularly for a coastal course. Greens in good but not great condition. Friendly and courteous staff. We are looking forward to playing here again on our next Trip to the OBX.

Nice place
Overall decent course that i got a deal on for 18. Beautiful surroundings, greens/tee boxes were hit or miss. Would definitely play again.

Where’s The Ranger?
On vacation, I booked a tee time as a single. The fairways, greens and playing partners were all great. Only problem was we had a group of three ahead of us playing loud music and drinking. At one point, they were actually playing bumper cars in the middle of the fairway with their carts. We would have reported these guys but didn’t see a ranger all day. The cart girl was terrific.

Good course with some good holes
Good golf course, feels more like a parkland course than links style. Also no practice range and chipping area needs improvement.

Poor conditions and Gimmicky layout.
Greens rolled crazy slow with ball marks everywhere on all greens. Short course with trouble lurking on most holes. Bring plenty of balls.
Pace was good at just under 4 hours, but still probably the worst course in the Obx area in my opinion

It’s a beautiful course but not very maintained. Especially for the money. The greens had so many divots. Putting was next to impossible.

Amazing Golf Course!
The course was in the most idea and perfect conditions! Great “risk/reward” holes, with hidden doglegs and reachable Par 4s.
A must play if you travel to the OBX!
Vacation OBX Golf
Staff was great and visible. Ranger to keep pace of play.
Greens were pristine and challenging. Fairways were a bit dry. Will definitely try to play this course on next OBX trip.

Watch out for each other
Tee times are based on a foursome pace regardless no matter how many in your group. My playing partner and i were behind a husband and wife. She needed ample shots to reach the green which wasn't a problem since they were two and maintained pace. Her husband was driving the cart and would advance to his ball while she would hit and walk. Repeat. Repeat. Never hit into them until hole #14. Severe dogleg right, downhill and blind. We saw the cart move off. Waited. I called out my line ahead of the swing, hug the corner. But the result was a high over the trees. Husband screams that I almost hit his wife. It's blind, downhill and downwind. If she's in a blind landing zone, keep your cart visible until she's out of the way. Don't run ahead of the walker. It wasn't intentional, definitely regretful to scare anyone.. Gabby, the cart lady, stopped by later to explain the trauma. Sea Scape has half a dozen holes where the landing area can be blind. Use your cart to watch out for each other. Course is in excellent shape. Enjoy, have fun and play safe.

Greens just punched/aerated
Overall it was a positive experience. The greens have been punched/aerated recently with no notice that I saw on their website. When we started, there were 3 groups waiting to start! We spread out a bit on the front but the back was miserably slow.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. OBX Golf
Son and I had a great couple rounds of golf here. Course in great shape and friendly staff. Played both rounds under 4 hours. we will play here again.

Fun course. Short but challenging!
This is the second time I played Sea Scape. The more I play it the more I like it. Staff and starter were very nice and helpful. Course was in great condition and pace of play was good. Fun par 3s and some wide open par 5s. I will be back again!
