Sea Scape Golf Links
About
Sea Scape Golf Links in Kitty Hawk, N.C. is one of the premier courses on the Outer Banks. The course has the feel of a traditional Scottish links layout thanks to the seaside location and landscape of windswept dunes. The golf course differs from a classic open links design because of the coastal forests that accent the terrain, which provides some shelter from the ocean breezes. The vibrant blue waters contrast beautifully with the dark green treetops. The most challenging feature of the golf course is the constant up and down. Golfers will face uneven lies as well as blind shots. Sea Scape Golf Links is relatively short at 6,131 yards from the back tees but it plays longer due to the variety of elevation changes, which range from subtle to dramatic.

It was a very enjoyable course.
I'd play it again if in the area again. I recommend this course,
Great shape--fair test
Staff very friendly. Course in great shape.
Weather was great.
A nice warmup for your game on the Outer Banks
Sea Scape is the oldest course on the Outer Banks, opened around 1960 and a design oddity--Art Wall, a former Masters champion, designed this course, his only design. It's a fun little course, especially the front nine. An unusual mix of three par fives (holes, 1, 3, and 5), 3 par fours, and 3 par threes. A fairly short course that can be a good warmup if you're down on the Outer Banks to play some nearby courses.
The front nine wanders up and down through some dunes about 1/2 mile from the Atlantic Ocean. There is housing off the fairways, but you'll rarely have to worry about hitting your ball into someone's backyard. You won't see much of the ocean on this nine, but you'll definitely feel the ocean breezes. Conditioning was excellent when I played in late October 2013. I'm not as big a fan of the back nine since some holes were cut up several years ago when the course apparently sold off some land to raise some funds, but the front nine remains unchanged and is well worth a quick round, especially late in the afternoon.
Too difficult for our abilities
The course is in great shape. Most holes are very challenging. I have a handicap of 19 and shot a 105 on this course. We are used to playing 18 holes in much less than 4 hours. The slow play frustrated me. There were no marshals on the course to speed up the play.
Fun course
This course is one I try to play every year when visiting OBX. The course has changed over the years with a couple of holes shortened but still fun to play. Greens were in good shape for recently being punched. Can be challenging in the wind.
Good Course- Better Staff
Arrived at course for our GolfNow tee time and was told our time should not have been available through GolfNow because they were running a tournament- but the Pro would fit us in and take care of us. The Pro let us go out the back first and just advised us to take our time and have fun when we eventually came up on the tournament players and was very friendly. We had a great round thanks to the staff at seascape.
Outstanding course, will challenge you but not overly so
I'VS PLAYED SEASCAPE FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS. COURSE IS ALWAYS WELL MAINTAINED AND THE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY.
The course was beyond my expectations
The course was in great shape and at times you could see the ocean and the sound...for being this late in the season the course was in excellent condition and the greens rolled very true. A map was provided with yardages which were accurate which made the experience even better.
Good, Solid Course
I played this course with my 10 year old daughter and had a really nice time. Its short. More Par 3s than Im used to. But it was in good condition, and none too easy. Do I compare it to Kilmarlic or the Currituck Club? Not in that league. But if you are looking for an opportunity to get out and play an enjoyable 18, this is the course.
Great course
Course was in excellent shape. Greens were great. Beautiful fairways. Best part aside from a well maintained course is that there are no parallel fairways.
Great beach course
Got a great deal on a moon tee time. Easy pace and great holes. Looking forward to playing again.
Sporty course.
Fun course. The slope rating from the gold tees was 119. It proved to be a harder course, rating in the mid 120s. Although no GPS,the yardage markers on the course and card were very helpful. Good afternoon rate on golf now. Would recommend.
This course was very entertaining
The staff were all very nice, the course was in great shape, and the course layout was very well thought out.
Great Deal On Golfnow.Com
Couldn't believe it. We were on vacation in the Outer Banks in June. Typically my experience during the Peak Season was to leave my clubs at home. Too expensive. I carried mine with the plan to drive a good distance off the island to get a decent price. Just for the heck of it, I checked out GolfNow and am glad that I did! I booked a threesome at Seascape, a very challenging links style course for $17 a person! Its hard to get closed to that at the municipal courses back home in Hampton Roads VA. Thanks Golf Now for rounding out our vacation with a very affordable round of golf at a very nice course!
Greens in Good Shape
Having played a number of courses in the Outer Banks area, I found the greens at Sea Scape to be some of the best. The course is not overly long. And pace of play was excellent. The only draw back that I can list would be the quirky layout on the back side with a number of holes somewhat squeezed into the limited space. Note: there is also no driving range, but this is only a minor draw back. I would return.
Overall nice course.
Pretty short course, few long balls needed. Course was in awesome condition!
The course is well-maintained.
This was my second round here and it will not be my last. We had several downpours during the round which took away from the overall enjoyment but we still had a good day. This is a links style course with narrow fairways and some houses to keep you on your toes. There is enough water to be challenging but not so much as to be hazardous. The greens are in great condition so the ball rolls true and smoothly. Hopefully, the next time out will be a beautiful OBX type of day.
Fun links course.
Playable links course with generous driving areas that gets tougher towards the finish. Fairways were very good, and greens were excellent with good pace. Lots of variety here, with course moving into the woods after #12.
Excellent course. Staff was super friendly!
The website GolfNow.com was easy to use. We needed extra tee times at the last minute and the course staff was very accommodating. The course was in great condition.
