Sea Scape Golf Links
About
Sea Scape Golf Links in Kitty Hawk, N.C. is one of the premier courses on the Outer Banks. The course has the feel of a traditional Scottish links layout thanks to the seaside location and landscape of windswept dunes. The golf course differs from a classic open links design because of the coastal forests that accent the terrain, which provides some shelter from the ocean breezes. The vibrant blue waters contrast beautifully with the dark green treetops. The most challenging feature of the golf course is the constant up and down. Golfers will face uneven lies as well as blind shots. Sea Scape Golf Links is relatively short at 6,131 yards from the back tees but it plays longer due to the variety of elevation changes, which range from subtle to dramatic.

The course was beyond my expectations
The course was in great shape and at times you could see the ocean and the sound...for being this late in the season the course was in excellent condition and the greens rolled very true. A map was provided with yardages which were accurate which made the experience even better.
Good, Solid Course
I played this course with my 10 year old daughter and had a really nice time. Its short. More Par 3s than Im used to. But it was in good condition, and none too easy. Do I compare it to Kilmarlic or the Currituck Club? Not in that league. But if you are looking for an opportunity to get out and play an enjoyable 18, this is the course.
Great course
Course was in excellent shape. Greens were great. Beautiful fairways. Best part aside from a well maintained course is that there are no parallel fairways.
Great beach course
Got a great deal on a moon tee time. Easy pace and great holes. Looking forward to playing again.
Sporty course.
Fun course. The slope rating from the gold tees was 119. It proved to be a harder course, rating in the mid 120s. Although no GPS,the yardage markers on the course and card were very helpful. Good afternoon rate on golf now. Would recommend.
This course was very entertaining
The staff were all very nice, the course was in great shape, and the course layout was very well thought out.
Great Deal On Golfnow.Com
Couldn't believe it. We were on vacation in the Outer Banks in June. Typically my experience during the Peak Season was to leave my clubs at home. Too expensive. I carried mine with the plan to drive a good distance off the island to get a decent price. Just for the heck of it, I checked out GolfNow and am glad that I did! I booked a threesome at Seascape, a very challenging links style course for $17 a person! Its hard to get closed to that at the municipal courses back home in Hampton Roads VA. Thanks Golf Now for rounding out our vacation with a very affordable round of golf at a very nice course!
Greens in Good Shape
Having played a number of courses in the Outer Banks area, I found the greens at Sea Scape to be some of the best. The course is not overly long. And pace of play was excellent. The only draw back that I can list would be the quirky layout on the back side with a number of holes somewhat squeezed into the limited space. Note: there is also no driving range, but this is only a minor draw back. I would return.
Overall nice course.
Pretty short course, few long balls needed. Course was in awesome condition!
The course is well-maintained.
This was my second round here and it will not be my last. We had several downpours during the round which took away from the overall enjoyment but we still had a good day. This is a links style course with narrow fairways and some houses to keep you on your toes. There is enough water to be challenging but not so much as to be hazardous. The greens are in great condition so the ball rolls true and smoothly. Hopefully, the next time out will be a beautiful OBX type of day.
Fun links course.
Playable links course with generous driving areas that gets tougher towards the finish. Fairways were very good, and greens were excellent with good pace. Lots of variety here, with course moving into the woods after #12.
Excellent course. Staff was super friendly!
The website GolfNow.com was easy to use. We needed extra tee times at the last minute and the course staff was very accommodating. The course was in great condition.
Good Day of Golf
Skip greeted me with friendly and helpful service. Gave me the layout of the course and got me on my way. thanks Skip. Good layout, some challenging holes, and great scenery. Not for the Hookers and Slicers. Hit with accuracy and you'll be okay. 4 stars because the greens still hadn't recovered from irrigation, little bumpy putting. Overall good course, will play again.
Great course and not very crowded with fast play.
From the time I entered the pro shop this was a great evening of golf with my family. The staff was great and the course was in great shape. There are plenty of par 5's to make up on lost shots. I've played this course twice and will play again if I have the chance.
Decent value when rates are greatly reduced
The Sea Scape layout is a community course laid out over moderately rolling terrain. There are several places where blind shots prevail, but if you go forward to look over the landing areas it's quite playable. There weren't many people on the course the day that I played so going forward to take a look didn't hold anyone up.
Unfortunately home developers have mangled part of the back 9, taking away at least one long hole and producing two back-to-back par 3s.
The golf course seemed to be minimally manned, with only a pro shop attendant and one other person to handle bags, carts, etc. There were no course rangers or beverage carts.
Maintenance: there were several bare spots in the fairways and the course is pretty rough around the edges for anyone who can't keep shots in the fairway.
The greens had just been aerated, unfortunately with NO NOTICE, so putting was mostly a measure of luck rather than skill.
Greens fees: I was lucky enough to get a substantially reduced rate for greens fees. Supposedly they normally charge over $90 in season, though it isn't worth anywhere near that. I'm used to FAR better courses with superior service for much, much less.
Good time and play
Good day of golf . Great deal and fun course to play .great layout and tight fairways
Tight course in places with challenging holes.
Great course. Some long par 5's, but overall we had a great time. Normal cost at the time we went was about $90 per person, but we got the golfnow.com deal for $20 per person. Probably wouldn't have played at all if it weren't for golf now. The course doesn't allow you to bring alcohol on the course if it is not provided by them. Just something to think about. Greens were very fast. Over all we had a good time.
Great layout, Tough recoveries.
I have played seascape a few times now and I love it. it presents a challenge on basically every hole due to the fact that the second cut is generally very thin and the waste area is sand dunes and thorns. Bring some extra balls if you dont want to spend half an hour finding the bad ones. All in all one of my favorites, makes you play the course how they intended, there arent many corners to cut or alternate approaches to holes.
