Sea Scape Golf Links
About
Sea Scape Golf Links in Kitty Hawk, N.C. is one of the premier courses on the Outer Banks. The course has the feel of a traditional Scottish links layout thanks to the seaside location and landscape of windswept dunes. The golf course differs from a classic open links design because of the coastal forests that accent the terrain, which provides some shelter from the ocean breezes. The vibrant blue waters contrast beautifully with the dark green treetops. The most challenging feature of the golf course is the constant up and down. Golfers will face uneven lies as well as blind shots. Sea Scape Golf Links is relatively short at 6,131 yards from the back tees but it plays longer due to the variety of elevation changes, which range from subtle to dramatic.

The course is in a great location
The yardage card they provided was helpful. As with most courses, course knowledge would be helpful for future rounds.
Great value in the OBX
Played here for $25 on Golf Now. Had to rent clubs as we are from California and didn't want to pack them. Rental clubs are a mixture of older model Top Flite and Wilson's not the Taylor Mades I play with at home. Course was not what I expected in the OBX. It was hilly and tree lined on most fairways. Great condition but the Bermuda grass rough was a little long which ate some well hot balls. Would definitely play this course again.
Nice course
Good course. We were a twosome and starter let a foursome with an average age of 85 years old (seriously) tee off before us. VERY slow pace and they didn't let us play through until the 14th. Now the course was well maintained and the staff is the friendliest I've had the pleasure to experience. I would definitely play again my next OBX vacation, but would ask to go off another tee AHEAD of slow players.
Keep it in the fairway !!!
This was a fun course.
Although not long, it is key to 'hit it straight' as trouble looms on every hole.
Tough to find balls in the rough (not hard to hit out of, however), but beyond the rough are 'lions, tigers and bears'.
'Cousin It' mounds of grasses line the fairway rough and forced carries giving the course that 'links' feel.
Dogleg's both left and right, some water hazards, some narrow landing areas.
Keep the driver in the bag except for maybe a few holes.
Can be a long day for beginners as was evident by the group ahead of us......
Well worth the booking!
hot and sunny saturday
This hot and sunny day on a very nice golf course still wadn't enough Robson me break 90.
Great course
Had a great round. Front nine was fast pace then back nine was backed up and very slow. Love the course..
Good course conditions
No problems at all when I checked in at the course. I was paired with a father/ son and another single. All three were fun and engaging to play with. Course was in good shape. Greens were nice. Golf now is a great way to play courses otherwise out of my price range
Greens slow and shaggy
I have played Sea Scape a few times over the past few years. I played with 7 others in my group-with myself being the most advanced player (9 handicap). We played white T's which was fairly short for myself, but appropriate for the others in my group. As a vacation type course this course is fairly easy. Fairways were in good condition. Greens were slow and shaggy which is great for a lesser skilled player, but as a single digit handicap, I found them very slow and difficult to putt. Two of the four electric golf carts we had lost power during our round. We had to push them up hills. In defense of the club, we did play late in the day so the greens & carts were subject to a full day's play. Service in the club house and bar was very friendly and good. Starter seemed to be having a difficult day as he was a little on the crabby side.
Great course ....
I took my three sons and although it was a little tough for the younger one it was a great course and glad we did it.
Golf at Sea Scape
The course was in excellent condition, the layout is great, the staff was very friendly, the member that we joined up with after four holes (Daniel) was an outstanding host the rest of the round. I look forward to playing it again next year on our vacation to the Outer Banks.
Sea scape golf
Course was in great shape. The area has had adequate rain making the fairways, tees and green wonderful to play.
Great play
Great course, right off Croatian hwy. no driving range though
This course has some challenging holes
Weather was bad thing about this day of golf. Was rains off and on through round. The course was in great shape for it raining most of time. Greens were soft , but fairly fast for being wet. Good Links course and Friends that were with me like the course layout.
Fun Layout
This course is pretty golfer friendly if you can keep it in the fairway.....not much room for misses. Overall a fun course and a good value. Staff very friendly.
Gem in obx
Very nice course in great conditions. Very fast greens! wiould def play again. Pace of play is good, staff friendly. the clubhouse is small but really nice. if in obx play it!
Great course
Course is great. Beautiful fairways and greens as long as you stay on them. The staff could have been a little more pleasant. We where spending our money at their business . I did love the course and we was last out for the day.
A great surprise!!!
Took my two sons and daughter's boyfriend to Seascapes and was greatly surprised with the "links course" setup and how beautiful most of the holes were on the course! Seeing the course from Rt 12; it looked tight ...next to community homes...but that was not the case.
The course was a lot of fun for players who ranged from 11 handicap to one who hadn't played in two years!! The fairways were in good shape and many of them were wide enough to hold the drive! ..and the greens held when chipping. All in all it was a fun course and we would definitely come back and play the course again!!
nice course
Nice course staff was very helpful and friendly if I am in obx again I will make sure to play it again
Great round
Sea Scape golf links was a very fun coarse. It was challenging bit fun. The fairways and greens were in great condition. It was a bit expensive in my opinion but a better value than other cheaper courses in the area.
Pretty good course
The front nine might lull u to thinking u can do something pretty good, then the back nine eats your lunch. U cannot hit into trees or anywhere tha is not in front of you, cause u basically can't look for a ball in the stuff that isn't grass. Thick thick underbrush. Ball goes in you best hit a provisional, cause you prob won't fnd anything aside from thorns that really really hurt in your fingertips.... Bring a safety pin just in case, they only hurt more the longer you wait to remove them
