About
Sea Scape Golf Links in Kitty Hawk, N.C. is one of the premier courses on the Outer Banks. The course has the feel of a traditional Scottish links layout thanks to the seaside location and landscape of windswept dunes. The golf course differs from a classic open links design because of the coastal forests that accent the terrain, which provides some shelter from the ocean breezes. The vibrant blue waters contrast beautifully with the dark green treetops. The most challenging feature of the golf course is the constant up and down. Golfers will face uneven lies as well as blind shots. Sea Scape Golf Links is relatively short at 6,131 yards from the back tees but it plays longer due to the variety of elevation changes, which range from subtle to dramatic.

Play Only if you Have Discounts
The course doesn't have a driving range yet the first hole is a Par 5. If the course was a 9 holes versus an 18 hole I probably would of rated it much higher. The back 9 nine layout feels more like an executive course all par 4s and 3s. They price the course based on having a captured audience.
Love the wide open fairways
Most of the holes except maybe #18 had wide open fairways. Also, there weren't many holes with water until the back 9. The course wasn't overly-challenging which made for a very enjoyable round.

November OBX
The starter was friendly and got us off early. They were starting on #10 that day which is a tighter shot than the first fairway which is very wide. I didn’t see a driving range.

Interesting layout
Not your typical 36 Out 36 In layout. Love the elevation changes and fairway undulations. Firm and fast greens today.

Played as a single. The course was in excellent shape for late October. I was very impressed with the greens. Great condition, good pace and rolled very true. I booked through TeeOff and got the discounted rate. I was shocked with the normal going rates for all the golf courses on the Outer Banks. I was hoping for some discounted rates.

Enjoyed the course
First time I’ve played the course in quite a few years. Course was in great shape, but my biggest complaint is that the course allowed a six-some to play which is clearly documented as being forbidden. After catching them, we waited on every hole.

Overall a great course to play in OBX. Staff was friendly and got our group out early. We only had a single play through, rest of the day was wide open and we played in 4 hours. Only complaints would be no driving range, and greens are a little beat up from lots of play. Definitely would recommend this course if your visiting OBX.

Worth the time to play
I like playing different golf courses...especially on our trips to Nags Head. Sea Scapes was on my list so I can finally check it off. The course appears to get alot of play judging by the number of fairway divots and ball marks on the greens. If vacationers would take the time to repair their divots it would make it more enjoyable for others. In any event it is a course worth playing and I will play it again.

Links type course
Course in good shape, plenty long enough from the back tees, there is plenty of room in the fairways, but leave the fairway and your in a lot of trouble. Some blind shots and several doglegs. Always find out were your going.
