Rose Hill Golf Club
About
Rose Hill Golf Club in Bluffton is situated amongst plentiful live oaks draped with Spanish moss. There are also sparkling, crystal-clear lakes that come into play on several holes. The golf course is a part of Rose Hill Plantation, giving it a truly Southern look and feel. Most of the holes are flat and straightforward but there are a few tricky doglegs to keep the course interesting. The layout features formidable par 3s that will test even the best players and a notably difficult par 5 that measures just over 600 yards. The challenging holes are balanced with player-friendly features that make it versatile enough for a wide range of skill levels. Four sets of tees, the longest coming to just over 6,900 yards, make Rose Hill Golf Club even more accessible.

Course
Course in bad shape right now, but improving. We play there every time we come here. But go see Courtney at the 19th hole! A great person!
Enjoyable layout but greens are in poor shape
I really enjoy this layout but so far this year the greens are in poor shape. Was told it is due to winter freeze and resulting fungus. Hopefully they will come around because the course can be fun to play.
Rose Hill
Greens on the front 9 but still rough on the back. Fairways also needed some love and maybe some water. Not all bad... A good value and playable for the family.
Would be nice
The front 9 was ok but the back nine sucked! We were told by the starter that the back was a little rough. Not the guy that took our money but the guy after we payed. Could be a beautiful coarse with some tlc. They are building a new club house
Bad-and Poor
This is the worse golf course in Bluffton and Hilton Head area. Fairway conditions very poor, the Greens are worse. They are scaley, burned out and feel like never been taken care of. The bunkers have weeds they tried to cover over with green spray.
You get what you pay for. Spend $3-5 more and play at a real golf course within 2 miles of this place.
Waste of money and time at Rose Hill.
Disappointing
Unfortunately this is one of the worse courses we have ever played. So thankful the fee was minimal for our tee time. The layout is very good, it’s the overall condition from the tee boxes to the fairways to the greens, absolutely pathetic. Management needs to shut down this course and totally redo all greens and invest in grass seed for all fairways. Not enjoyable hitting off and in between weeds, I won’t get into the condition of the greens, so sad. Upnote, very nice staff!
Rose Hill intro
Tried this course for the first time. Attractive rate for us since my wife had back issues and only waned a 9 hole test. Ended up only playing 3 holes. Very slow play, but a nice day on a mediocre course.
OUCH!
This was the worst course "conditions" I ever played! The greens were horrible, the fairways were nothing but dirt and weeds, and the sand traps were like concrete. The fellow in the pro shop "blond boy" was rude and obnoxious when our group complained about the conditions. I'll never go back!
Bad condition
I played 2 years ago and was good
Now is the worst course in the area
The people at the proshop was no friendly
I had a very bad experience
Poor Excuse for a Golf Course
Back 9 greens are all in terrible shape, tee boxes poor condition throughout both 9s. Management's response to complaints: "it used to be much worse a few months ago, now no worse than other courses around here." First part may be true, second part is false.
This course is a goat track
Absolutely the worst condition of any golf course I’ve ever played. Thank God, we only played 9. You can’t even putt, the greens are so bad...
Worst Course Ever Played
I have nothing to say good about this course. The greens where really bad, the fairways where nothing but weeds and dirt and "blond boy" in the pro shop was rude and when our group complained of the course conditions. I'll never go back to that rat trap!
Rose Hill needs help
Course was not in good condition. Tees, fairways and greens were in poor shape.
Can be better
Course layout was good and staff were friendly.
Tee boxes and fareways were not in very good condition. Could have used a lawnmower
The course has gone down hill
I have played this course several times over the ast ten years and it is in the worst shape I have ever seen it in. The greens are inconsistent and fairways are below what I would expect.
The staff seems indifferent.
They are building a new club house so the ammenities are lacking.
This course needs work
First time playing this course. Orher than cutting the grass, it appears that no other maintenance is being done. Greens were especially rough. When putting, the ball bounces like you're on gravel. Tough to get a true read on a putt. Pace was great as there were no other golfers in sight.
They need to get it together
I realize they're clubhouse is under construction. That wasn't the issue. Don't wanna bash this place but if I had known how bad their fairways and greens were I would have played somewhere else. There are many other courses around in the $35-$40 range that have greens you can actually putt on, not play plinko
