Chester Golf Club

I played this course Friday 7/6 as a twosome and finished in three hours.The tees and fairways were in great shape but the greens had been punched awhile back and were still a little bumpy. This course was a great value on Golfnow and even though it is one hour and fifteen minutes from my house I highly recommend it and definitely will be back. The pro shop has recently been renovated along with the bathrooms and the staff couldn't have been nicer.

Greens had been punched about a month ago. They were in great condition, but the speed varied somewhat. This course has some interesting terrain, without too many elevation changes common among Charlotte area courses. The fairways were hard and fast, ensuring if you hit it towards the fringes, you would end up in the rough, but hit it straight and the ball would go an extra 50. They had 2 tee boxes under repair and temporary boxes set up, but in general the tee boxes were in good condition. I enjoy this course every time I play it, and it really is a good option especially in terms of "bang for your buck."

We drove down early from N. Charlotte due to Cobblestone being recently aerated. Generally, a pretty nice course and worth the drive. Fairways and Greens were great, tee boxes need some work. There was about (4) foresomes that were having a mini tournament. (2) of the guys ran late and found themselves behind us due to missing their tee time. We got around in 4:20, and the Marshall was pushing us at hole 16, seriously? I think he was being bullied by some regulars

And not just because I had a good round! The staff is so friendly, flexible, and accommodating. The course was beautiful (as always). They just aerated the greens, but I was warned before booking. It did not take away from the beauty of the course or the quality of the golfing experience. It is worth the little bit of extra drive to play this course - it is the best value in the area.

The course was in great shape, except for the greens which had just a little bouncy. They weren’t bad just a little bouncy, 35 putts for 18. Love all the trees like playing on a trail through the woods

This is a good course to play, When we have the time we play this course in South Carolina

Started the round around 9:20 on a Saturday that was very warm. Overall course conditions are great. Greens were in excellent shape, fast and rolled true, Fairways and bunkers in good shape as well. Most tee boxes in good shape except for a few. There are some areas with issues, but happy to see the course is working on it. Only minor concern was the pace of play. Total round was 4 3/4 hrs, which could have been better. Definitely recommend this course if you can drive a little south.

I haven't played here for about a year. The course & Clubhouse have made some great improvements.

Course is getting worse instead of better!

Too much ground in need of repair and I see no grass growing.

A few of the tee boxes are so bad it's easier to hit from the cart path.

I'm sick of the temporary porta-johns and the only real bathroom on the course has a sink that doesn't work and a giant hole where the doorknob used to be.

Place is falling apart - so sad.
