About
Village Greens Golf Club sprawls across over 100 acres of what used to be farmland situated between Inman and Gramling. Remnants of the old farm can be seen throughout the course, including pear trees from the original orchard that line the 10th fairway. When the golf course was built in 1969, many new trees were planted but much care was taken so as not to obstruct the view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, providing nearly every hole with views that stretch from Glassy Mountain to Chimney Rock. The layout has a classic design that is playable for a wide range of skill levels. Sparkling lakes and ponds accent the landscape, coming into play on a few holes. Village Greens Golf Club's most memorable water hole is the course's signature sixth. This short par 3 features a semi-island green that is surrounded by water on two sides, along with three bunkers and out-of-bounds on the right.

Mostly Enjoyable
Over all, I like playing the course. Greens are tough to read and fast when dry. A few things that are troublesome- The 8th hole should have some flat ground before the water. Choice now is really long second shot to the green after a shorter drive or lay.up on the far side of the water. Other real pain is the 18th, where they demand that carts stay on the path on a par five that has two doglegs and good landing areas are a long way from y\ the cart path. A lot of walking back & forth with multiple clubs sometimes.

Nice course
Fairways are in perfect condition. Greens are a little on the slippery side but still good.

Course is in really good shape.
Today was the third time playing here just this year. Best shape it’s been in. Pretty good layout with strong par 3’s. Par 5’s you can make up shots. Pro shop staff was friendly. Definitely recommend giving this course a shot. Stay below the hole is highly recommended.

GolfNow
Village was great as usual. I booked on GolfNow and accidentally booked the wrong date. I immediately canceled and booked the correct date. GolfNow has informed me that they will not refund my money. If you’re thinking about booking through GolfNow I personally will never use them again. I’m retired and can’t afford to lose the money. Beware of the way the dates change while using there app.
Fun challenging course
This is a great course. Nice layout, excellent service from the pro shop, and great restaurant in the clubhouse. I need a new putter grip for a while but hadn’t found one that I liked until I went back to village Greens. The pro shop was able to install a new grip and have it ready 10 min before my tee time. I’ve been here several times, and plan to I back many more.

What A Gem!
Fantastic course! We stopped to play 9 while on the road to Charleston. The reviews we read were spot on; tees and fairways were great and greens were filling in from recent aeration. Still was able to land on the greens & sink putts to card a +1 for the round. Course is a little tough; hardly no even lies, but beautiful scenery! Must play again!

Love it.
Perfect condition, except they just airerated the greens this month. So there was still some sand on greens. Still very challenging for amateurs.
