About
Village Greens Golf Club sprawls across over 100 acres of what used to be farmland situated between Inman and Gramling. Remnants of the old farm can be seen throughout the course, including pear trees from the original orchard that line the 10th fairway. When the golf course was built in 1969, many new trees were planted but much care was taken so as not to obstruct the view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, providing nearly every hole with views that stretch from Glassy Mountain to Chimney Rock. The layout has a classic design that is playable for a wide range of skill levels. Sparkling lakes and ponds accent the landscape, coming into play on a few holes. Village Greens Golf Club's most memorable water hole is the course's signature sixth. This short par 3 features a semi-island green that is surrounded by water on two sides, along with three bunkers and out-of-bounds on the right.

Good Condition
Course was in good condition. Greens a little slow but putted true. Got stuck behind a shotgun start (1 pm 60 golfers) with a 2 pm tee time (wish we would have known that there was an event going on when we made the tee time). We were on pace until we got to the 14th hole. Idiots behind us hit into us twice then had the nerve to ask what was the hold up (apparently they didn't notice the full parking lot) .
Peak shape right now
Village greens is near it's best right now! Course is in great shape! A couple tee boxes can be worked on but no big issues. Really fun course that anyone can have fun on. Staff is very friendly and you can find some good deals on golfnow at times.

Customer Service Keeps Me Coming Back
This is a very classic golf course with some of the best greens in the Upstate. I love the risk reward of the par 5 and par 3 holes especially. They were adding some fairway drains on a couple holes during my round but otherwise course was in great shape. The staff is extremely friendly and accomodating. The pro is hands down one of the best in the business. Village Greens is always been one of my favorite Upstate courses.

DECEIVING TOUGH LITTLE COURSE
Great friendly staff with a tough little course. As noted by others , cart paths a little rough and greens a little fuzzy , but overall the course was in great shape for this time of year. Would recommend to anyone in the area. All holes were marked and very accurate yardage book given free as the was my first trip here.
Absolutely no problems with finding my way. I played 18 holes in three hours as a single with no wait at any time. Will be back.

Fun to play and staff is Super Friendly
My only criticism is the cartpathes. They need to be completely redone. My whole body aches when I'm done playing. When there are two of us, I walk as much as I can.

Nice course
Had a good day to play here. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Course was in good shape, but wet in alot of spots. Well worth the visit...

Budget golfer
This is a great course. Excellent and knowledgeable staff, everyone is very friendly. Has a Dickey's BBQ on site to make lunch or supper very easy and delicious. Some tough holes and hole 6 is beautiful. I highly recommend to go play this course.

No Map or Pictures
It would be good to have a picture of the course on the score card or one of each hole at the tee box, but because they do not have either, I ended up in the water because I couldn't see it as it was over the hill. I had never played the course before and neither had my companions. So we went into each hole blind about what was ahead. If they fixed that, it would be a great place to golf.

This course had plush fairways
I enjoyed playing this course. The fairways held the ball up nice. It would be nice if a plaque was placed at the tee box showing the distance to lay up on hole #7 to avoid a downhill shot to the green with a pond to go over. Hole 13 is a dogleg right par 5, my 3 wood was close to the trees, having a plaque with the distance to the middle of the fairway would help in making a choice to cut the corner or play safe. Hole 16 has a creek that runs across the fairway. A plaque that showed the layup distance as well as distance to clear the creek would be a great help in club selection. Hole #2 needs a plaque, I went through the fairway with a 3 wood and ended up on the edge of #18 fairway.

Great course
Quite a challenge, love the layout. Will certainly play the course again.
Village Greens Gramling SC
Course is in great shape, besides a few bad spots on 15 green, and 17 tee. The greens roll great, when you sink a 40 ft putt it feels awesome! Rough is pretty think so stay in the short grass. Sand is real there, easy eascapes if you have a decent lie.

I liked playing there
Staff was very friendly very welcoming. Course was in good shape considering we have had hardly rain this year. It's a challenging course with a couple awesome holes that I enjoyed playing. Only complaint really is there where only a couple water jugs to fill up while out there. Wish there was a couple more because it was hot. Other than that is was fun and I will definitely be back.

The experience starts when you pull into the driveway and see the beautiful club house.Then your greed right away by the staff.There"s nothing special about the driving range,but the practice putting greens are remarkable.The course itself is well maintain except for a few greens on the edge were bald and needed some love.For someone who comes from flat courses I found it to be challenging with up or down hill lye's but that's golf.
