Awesome Greens

Was looking for a course to get some decent practice in but mostly looking for one with good greens and I can vouch that these were some lovely greens. Also got a smoking deal for a afternoon tee-time! I’ll be back!

Nice course with good upkeep.

Course is in great condition. Tight fairways with some fun/challenging holes. 17 is my personal favorite.

Better than average.

Year round course is in better than average condition. If it is your first time on the course there are two holes on the back that are a bit quirky. 10 & 12 both are no more than 200 yards off the tee for me. 10 stay on the left side of fairway for a good angle over the water to the green. 12 play it straight away, 3 shot hole to the green which slopes from back to front severely and is quick, stay below the hole to have best shot at birdie or par. Good luck and enjoy!

Excellent course

Excellent course with awesome true rolling greens. Well worth the price to play. Tee boxes were good, even though some were not level. Fareways were hard with green grass. Greens were hard and fast. Will definitely play here again.

Good semi-private course

Normally, this course would be a little too expensive for me but I got a great deal on GolfNow. I prefer more open fairways, but I have no complaints about this golf course. It was in excellent condition.

Getting better every week

Pace of play was slow due to ignorant beginners not letting singles play through. Pro shop staff and bar staff were amazing as always. Greens are fabulous and only getting better. They will be punching them first week of June I heard so maybe first half of June steer clear.

Very slow

It took an hour and 40 minutes to play four holes. I actually quit playing after four holes because it would’ve taken me seven hours to play 18. I do not recommend this course to anyone. It was a total waste of money.

Accommodating Staff

I had booked Hot Deal for me since friend not available. After short time, he was available but Hot Deals were gone, so made alternate tee time. Staff had no problems ensuring we were able to play together. They are ALWAYS friendly and showing flexibility is why I will continue to play here.

Course was really wet due to rain. Greens are good as usual. Laurice in the bar is always super friendly and up beat. Pro shop guys were really nice too. They let me hit free range balls.

All time Favorites

As usual Chad @ Golden Hills has the greens looking and rolling fantastic. Difficult hole positions are able to be attacked with quick yet receptive greens. Grass isn't fully out if dormancy. Courses were wet due to heavy winter rains in the past weeks. Course was dry and carts were allowed in 95% of fairways. Played many courses in this area and my honest opinion are that Golden Hills and Cobblestone Park are the courses to play if you don't mind spending a little extra. It's definitely worth it.

Not for low handicappers

I usually practice putting here on my lunch break because the greens are excellent so I thought I would give the course a try. Sadly I left disappointed. In the course layout sets up for the player who consistently bunts it down the fairway 190 yards at a time. Fairways are extremely narrow And the greens are postage stamps. I don’t like golf course is built through neighborhoods because they take away imagination and creativity. There is only one way to play most of the golf holes here.

Best course in the Midlands of SC

We play Golden Hills regularly. Great course, good value, friendly staff. We've had alot of rain this winter so mushy fairways on some holes can't be helped but the greens are always good.

If you're in the Midlands of SC play Golden Hills!

Challenging course!

I didn't play very well but that was mostly on me. The tee boxes were worn. Fairways were rough and saturated. Greens were nice. It was a very challenging course for me. Fairways are narrow. O well I like the course and will try it again when it dries out. Very nice staff.

Great Shape

Haven’t played this course in a while. Considering we just had 3 straight days of constant rain the course was in great shape. Greens were fast but true. Look forward to playing here again soon.
