Hole 3 par 5 Photo submitted by Rick9857150 on 09/10/2013
Slow
Had groups of six or more playing together. Course is closed in section 13 is not there at all now. Got cut back through everyone.
Good shape, will be really good after construction
Haven’t played here in 2 years. Course is in better shape than before. Will really be nice once all the construction is done. Played early in the morning so pace of play was fine.
Palmetto Hills
Course was in good shape, a couple of holes were make shift holes but other than that it was good
Palmetto Hills
Course was in decent shape, they were doing a work to the course but overall I enjoyed the round
Course will be great when finished
Was very surprised at the quality of the course. When construction is finished and all holes are playable it will be awesome!
Great value
They are doing a ton of work on the course and I’m hoping that the fees don’t go up too much
Best ball with 2 golfers
great course, super fun very beautiful Mountain View while golfing. I know they were doing some construction but a couple greens needed some HEAVY attention. Other than a couple greens not being the best everything thing else was great. (Oh they definitely need to hire a cook and get the snack bar going I’ll bet they would make a killing selling sandwiches there.)
Improvement in progress
Construction around the course leaves less than desirable conditions on some holes.
Patchy greens on some holes.
Can’t fix divots as the refill cans are always empty.
Now, the good:
A challenging course with curves, doglegs, and changes in elevation.
Slow rolling greens complete the 70-80’s feel of the course.
I always enjoy my time here.
Course Under Construction
I should have taken some pictures looking back, but golfer beware: if you are playing this course in the next 1-3 weeks the greens were just aerated and three holes (one being the signature 9th) are shortened/modified. The course did not bother to put the aeration notice on GolfNow and I went there expecting a solid to awesome round of golf based on the pictures and reviews on the app. What I found were backhoes, a fairway of red dirt and mud, a large timber burn pile, and greens that were simply unplayable. Maybe I should have called the course ahead of time but I was just traveling to the area and didn’t experience anything like this at the other three courses I played on my trip. Bottom line, I feel I got got because there was no mention of aeration or the course being under construction on the app.
Annoying advertising on golf cart screen
Course is having lots of work done which is good.
A few of the greens really need looks of work. The most annoying part is the advertising on the golf cart screen!!
It gets more enjoyable the more you play it!
The course is under construction but that wasn’t the problem. The only issue that I had with the course is that
There are so many blind shots due to hills, curve, etc , that it made me wish for a caddy!
The staff was friendly and very helpful.
Ups and downs
You absolutely need a Gps with slope to navigate this course. There is a screen on the cart but I found the plays like distances to be inaccurate, there are several blind shot holes so the course really needs to be played twice or at least drive way down the fairway see where your landing area is. Over all I totally enjoyed this course and had the weather permitted I would have played there the next day.
Hidden GEM
Really enjoyed this course. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Course was very nice to play had a couple greens that need a little TLC not an overhaul by any means. Also a couple holes have some work going on which would usually irritate me. But this ended up as a nice little hidden gem and will definitely be played again.
