Hole 3 par 5 Photo submitted by Rick9857150 on 09/10/2013
This course is well designed
Really nice course, the cart has their built in GPS feature that I really liked. First time to the course and actually enjoyed the course. Loved the way the course is designed to the perfect difficulty level for beginners and for pros. Will visit again and would definitely recommend for first timers.
This course has greatly improved
If you haven’t played here in a while, I highly recommend playing it again. The condition of the course has greatly improved. It’s a fun and challenging layout that is an amazing value.
Very good value
Very good course layout and good value for the money. There was only one green in poor condition and not sure why
Nice course but slow pace of play
It’s a pretty place to play. At the time we played there was two groups of five which made the play really slow.
Last Minute Round
I played Palmetto Hills for the 2nd time yesterday and it did not change my opinion on the course much. The entire place has an old run down feel to it, and not much work is going on to take care of the golf course. This was a quick, last minute round, and this course is good for that bc it generally doesnt fill up (there is a reason it doesnt fill up). The girl in the pro shop was really nice, and they have newer carts with GPS which is probably the best thing about the course. The layout itself is interesting and at times maybe a little quirky. Very hilly with alot of elevation changes. The cart path would rattle your teeth and on 11 people had been driving up the fairway through the grass to avoid the huge potholes in the path. On a par 5 on the back a tree had fallen on the cart part during the hurricane and it still has not been removed. So everyone drove around it through the grass and mud. The greens all needed rolling at the very least. They were extremely slow and generally fuzzy. A few were in really rough shape. Holes 9 and 14 stand out as having really bad greens. It wasnt overly busy the day I played, but a 5 some played in front of me and did not allow me to play through, so the pace of play was terrible. All in all, if you need a last minute round and cant find anywhere else, or do not want to pay as much this place is good for that, otherwise, I would avoid. I will probably go back eventually, but it wont be soon.
Great course
This a great course for your money. I’ve played here many times with my father and friends and we always enjoy going. I love that the gps on the golf carts are back. Decently recommend
Great customer service!
Course owner went out of their way to ensure I was able to play a round, even though weather conditions were far from ideal. Unbelievable customer service; truly went above and beyond what was necessary to ensure a great experience. In addition - course has undergone some major positive changes and is very enjoyable to play every time. Elevation changes and wide open fairways make the course more challenging than it appears. Will play here again - I am certain.
Great bang for your buck
I haven’t been able to run out last minute and quickly play a round in a long time due to how packed courses have become. This gem challenges your shot making ability while still being able to play a sub 5 hr round for under $40. The green have some rough spots but I will take them for the value. Will be back.
Palmetto Hills GC
I love this course.
Lots of hills and contoured greens. Keep the ball on the fairway and you will have a good round.
I did see some walkers. But, I recommend a golf cart.
Course has come a long way
Course has come a long way from last year the 15,17 and 18 holes are fun to play now they look great too lot work and time in the course is paying off new golf cart help enjoy playing it keep up the good work will be back soon to play.
Great course, especially for the cost.
Too notch value. I couldn't believe the condition of most of the greens, absolutely beautiful. I'd play here twice a week if I could. Challenging, beautiful course!
