The Club at Pine Forest
About
The 18 semi-private holes at Pine Forest wind through the tall Summerville pines with numerous live oaks, dogwoods and a lake system thrown in for good measure. With an equal balance of straightaways, doglegs and elevation changes, this course is nicely balanced, with challenges and fun in store for golfers of all levels. Rental clubs and electric carts are available.
At 6,905 yards with a 138-slope rating, Pine Forest lives up to its name, as the course has numerous barriers of tall Summerville pines to cause problems for an errant shot. The Bob Spence design also makes use of water to add to the difficulty of some holes. It's a semi-private course, and they've named each hole, with No. 12 being known as "Little Augusta" while No. 15 is "Wastelands."

Great layout greens are rough and hard to keep ball on line.
Fourrr some good times
What a great round with all that Irma weather we had. This course was in great shape, I met 3 great guys had an awesome time.
Love this course
The first time I played this course I knew I would be back. I hear other players comment on the challenge of the architecture. This course just works for me. If you can play in control you can score well. This course demands it. Can't wait to get back for a 3rd round.
Real good course
The course was in great shape good for the money value pace of play as a single player steady waited a few times green speed average put the ball in the fairway green are accessible
A great day of golf
After having read a number of reviews my regular golf partner and I ventured up to Summerville to check it out. We were pleasantly surprised. We are both mid handicappers and found the course offered a fair but not unreasonable challenge for our level of play. The fairways and greens were very well maintained for a semi-private course. Better than many other comparable public courses in the tri-county area and the green fees were very reasonable. Well placed drives will reward as much as poor ones will punish. I would recommend buying the yardage book available in the pro shop. It will save you a few strokes. Staff was very friendly. We'll definitely be back
Solid course with friendly staff
The Club at Pine Forrest was a great corse for the money. The staff were extremely friendly and a pleasure to talk with. The course was in good shape with well maintained fairways and greens. They were not the most pure greens I've ever putted on, but the round was enjoyable none the less. The course layout is challenging enough to be interesting without being too daunting. I really enjoyed playing here and will go back.
Great Value
for the price (21$ for 18 w/ cart) , can't beat it.. layout is challenging yet good pace of play (3. 4 hrs). Cart paths are in rough shape on some parts of course but greens and fairways pretty nice. seems like they took out some water around a few holes making it a little less challenging.
Overall great course challenging yet affordable!
Great Experience
The course is challenging for golfers of all skill levels. It was in excellent condition, despite it being in the middle of a typical southern summer. I was most impressed by the friendliness of the professional staff, as well as the snack bar hostess. Quite frequently, discount golfers are treated with disdain, whereas here, I(and my guest) made to feel like full fledged club members. It was well worth the drive to Summerville.
This course has a great layout
Fairways starting to get dry and your ball may take and odd bounce toward the water.
The greens are better but still bumpy making it hard to hold your line when putting!
Great
What a great value. I'm not a golf snob by any stretch of the imagination. Kudos. There had been some rain but there was maybe 2 tee boxes that needed attention but I totally understand why. But that was it. Thanks.
Booking
I booked a tee time for 8:26 am, but was told that all early tee times are reserved for members. My receipt showed $27.00, was charged a higher amount. Will not play there again. Much nicer courses closer to where I live.
Greens were poorly kept
Toughest Course in Summerville
Very good layout. Greens are usually in good shape. The course does hold water so don't play after a huge rain. Wait a few days for it to dry out. Some say this is toughest course in the Charleston area so if you want a challenge then play here.
June 10
My wife and I played 9 holes on this course.
Decent course plenty of room to play
Had a single come up on us pretty quick. Let him play through. Greens were rough. Airated recently.
Fairways great shape. All in all. Good deal
