I was very hesitant to book this course after reading previous reviews but I'm glad I gave it a shot. Tee boxes were a little bit sandy and number 7 basically has no grass, however, everything else was fine. Also, number 7 is elevated and goes straight down hill so everyone complaining must not be able to carry the ball 165. Guess there are a lot of golf snobs on here. Greens have some rough spots but were in better condition then I expected, the pins were also placed to make sure they avoided any rough patches. So again, complaints coming from people who are no where near the pin. Overall I like the course and the lay out, I would 100% play here again. There are FAR FAR worse course out there.

Pace of play is good and you can sharpen your shots in different and challenging layouts

This was totally unexpected. The absolute worst conditioned golf course I have ever played. Bunkers unplayable, fairways sparse & sandy. One fairway was ALL sand. Many washed out areas. Greens are horrible. This whole experience was not worth any price. I will never play this course again. A real shame because it could be great with some maintenance and watering.

Ownership should be ashamed of the condition of this course. Worst course I have ever seen or played. No grass on many of the fairways; greens were unplayable. Our group stopped here on the way to a golf weekend, and wish we hadn’t. We were prepared for lesser conditions for the price, but it wasn’t even close. If you are not going to put money back into your facility, it’s time to close or sell.

No grass anywhere. Putting on dirt. Fairways are dirt and sand. Just not a golf course. It is horrible.

One of the worst conditioned courses I have ever played. Greens were in horrible shape, and some holes there was nothing but sand. Gentlemen at the Pro Shop was short, and extremely rude. Not sure what his deal was. Save your money and go to another course. Absolutely dreadful. Will not play there again.

Overall enjoyed Indian River Golf Club , pro shop staff very friendly , great value for money. Green speed quick for April a few holes require from work like Par 5 6th, but overall a fantastic track with many challenging holes from the gold tee, fairway bunker positions excellent from off the tee. Would highly recommend

I don’t think the greens have been thru aeration the past two years. Greens are rough and a couple of fairways look like they belong on the moon. Has great potential if a professional is hired to do the necessary improvements...

This course used to be one of the best around. It is no longer in that condition. A number of the greens are in really bad condition. The fairway on the par 5 with the water tower on it is the worst fairway I’ve seen on any golf course ... by far. It is mostly just dirt from tee to around 250 yards out. There are a number of fairways with significant issues. The course has potential to get back to greatness as there is a new housing development being prepared for around the course that will hopefully jump start the influx of money the course obviously needs. I’ve tried to continue to play it to help but it’s doubtful I’ll play there again until some work is done to repair the many issues with the course.

Good value. If the greens were in good shape, I would be out there every week. No two holes are the same. Built on top of sand dunes, so lots of sand in the fairways. Opportunities to play lots of different shots.

When I played at 1:00 pm the course was empty! If you need a place to consistently play and get better at your game this is ideal. The course conditions are mediocre. Some tee boxes are more sand boxes and the greens are patchy and needed be aerated. If you can tolerate these flaws, you’ll find yourself at a course with great location, extremely hilly fairways, and a nice staff.
