Bad greens
Greens were unfair, many had severe slopes, our group thought the designer was trying to punish golfers.
Not bad. Will play again
Greens in great shape. Course was good. Will play again
Country Club Golf / Farmers Pricing
During a trip to Maryville, TN, I decided to google local courses and try to grab a round before I would eventually head back to Ohio. The closest to my location was Egwani Farms. I looked at a few pics and decided to book a round, with somewhat less than stellar expectations. To the contrary, the Farm experience totally exceeded them. The cost for 18, cart and a couple of logo balls was less than $50 on a Thursday afternoon. The whole experience was amazing. The course was extremely well maintained with and the greens were manicured to perfection. Fairways were smooth and wide. The staff was very friendly and the pace was moderate. Food offerings were very good and the clubhouse ambience was cozy and relaxing. Carts were in nice shape as well. The practice range was among the best Ive seen in the past 50 rounds. If I lived in the area, this would likely be my home course. The course was not overly difficult but the greens, although smooth as a babies bottom, were extreme fast and challenging. The sand was in great condition and buttery soft. Incredibly, I get paired with 3 guys that grew up 15 miles from me and one of them I played softball against in 1990. All of us were 400+ miles from home, randomly there on the same day and all with a 1:30 tee time. It all made for an incredible golf experience. I highly recommend Egwani Farms. The ONLY knock.... a sappy pro shop, with limited choices. Fortunately, they do have logo balls, collectable chips and divot repair tools but then again, if they dont get a lot of tourists, it probably doesn't make sense to go all out on swag.
Golf day
Everything was good except pace of play. The ranger stopped by us on the 13th hole to tell us that there were 2 groups playing together in a scramble that were very slow. There were 2 empty holes in front of this group. I’m surprised that the issue wasn’t addressed earlier. Nothing seemed to get corrected.
The course and greens were in good shape.
Early in the year
The greens were in very good condition considering how early it is in spring. Very hard to give a rating to a course that’s not yet matured into its playable condition. I went back and moved some of my three stars to a four based upon that. Course management is the key to playing here. You’re going to leave the driver in the bag on several holes and on a couple of them you’re going to have 250+ in.
It’s a change of pace course for someone looking to play something a little different. There are a few of the par fours that are drivable but if you miss you will be in trouble so weight the risk reward. This course needs Marshall to keep the pace of play moving.
GO!
Definitely recommend the course! It is early spring so not in as good a shape as usual but it will get there in a month. Talking about fairways. Staff is excellent!!
Mats on several tee boxes
I just don’t get the mats on the par threes and on a par four they’re going to put mats on a tee box to protect the grass but the mats are going to kill the grass underneath. I just cannot see the logic in this.
I despise hitting off mats and will not play there again if they continue to have the mats.
The greens were in decent condition. All things considered this early in the year a little bumpy, but that’s to be expected.
Fun course to play
Everyone, from check-in to the starter, was friendly and helpful. Course has some challenging holes, but overall it’s a manageable course, even for higher handicappers. Greens were well-manicured, and the course was in great shape for winter play. Great place to play!
One of the best rounds of golf !!! Especially in Knoxville area
Not happy with golf now
While Egwani was great as always! I’m a little p I s s e d off that I paid 47$ per spot thinking I was getting a good deal on golf now. When we arrived to play we had a good time on the front 9, at the turn we decided to grab a couple hot dogs and we were informed that we should have received a free meal ticket since it was Monday, not only that but it was only 30$ to play with free lunch on Mondays at Egwani! So golf now tricked us into think we got a decent deal when in reality we feel like chumps. doubt I’ll book through this app anymore and just go directly to the course website for booking .
Excellent Conditions
Egwani Farms continues to deliver a high quality golf experience. Their greens are absolutely perfect...smooth and fast. Pace of play was excellent as well.
