Overal
Excellent course
Fantastic challenge
Not many Tennessee hills which is good for the older folks.
Loved it all. Will return
Egwani Farms Golf Course
Fairways and greens in perfect condition. Whoever is superintendent is doing wonderful job.
Fun course
Course is fun and challenging with fast greens and pretty fairways. Lots of water as well. Could use more bathrooms.
Slow Play
Certain holes on the course create clogs in the pace of play. However, since there is a PA system at the club house for announcing starting groups, the staff time could be better used as marshal for the pace of play rather than simply starting groups. There should be a ranger pushing slow groups to speed up especially since there are many new players playing courses without a good understanding of course educate.
Condition of the golf course was incredible!
Job well done to the Golf Course Superintendent and his/her team!
The condition of all the shortcut was near perfect for this time of the year. The greens rolled so true and had great speed to them. Bunkers played how they were supposed to play. The rough was very manageable to play out of which is great for public golf. The price to play here is easily a steal in my opinion just for the condition of the golf course alone. So kudos to the golf course maintenance team!
Bad greens
Greens were unfair, many had severe slopes, our group thought the designer was trying to punish golfers.
Not bad. Will play again
Greens in great shape. Course was good. Will play again
Country Club Golf / Farmers Pricing
During a trip to Maryville, TN, I decided to google local courses and try to grab a round before I would eventually head back to Ohio. The closest to my location was Egwani Farms. I looked at a few pics and decided to book a round, with somewhat less than stellar expectations. To the contrary, the Farm experience totally exceeded them. The cost for 18, cart and a couple of logo balls was less than $50 on a Thursday afternoon. The whole experience was amazing. The course was extremely well maintained with and the greens were manicured to perfection. Fairways were smooth and wide. The staff was very friendly and the pace was moderate. Food offerings were very good and the clubhouse ambience was cozy and relaxing. Carts were in nice shape as well. The practice range was among the best Ive seen in the past 50 rounds. If I lived in the area, this would likely be my home course. The course was not overly difficult but the greens, although smooth as a babies bottom, were extreme fast and challenging. The sand was in great condition and buttery soft. Incredibly, I get paired with 3 guys that grew up 15 miles from me and one of them I played softball against in 1990. All of us were 400+ miles from home, randomly there on the same day and all with a 1:30 tee time. It all made for an incredible golf experience. I highly recommend Egwani Farms. The ONLY knock.... a sappy pro shop, with limited choices. Fortunately, they do have logo balls, collectable chips and divot repair tools but then again, if they dont get a lot of tourists, it probably doesn't make sense to go all out on swag.
Golf day
Everything was good except pace of play. The ranger stopped by us on the 13th hole to tell us that there were 2 groups playing together in a scramble that were very slow. There were 2 empty holes in front of this group. I’m surprised that the issue wasn’t addressed earlier. Nothing seemed to get corrected.
The course and greens were in good shape.
Early in the year
The greens were in very good condition considering how early it is in spring. Very hard to give a rating to a course that’s not yet matured into its playable condition. I went back and moved some of my three stars to a four based upon that. Course management is the key to playing here. You’re going to leave the driver in the bag on several holes and on a couple of them you’re going to have 250+ in.
It’s a change of pace course for someone looking to play something a little different. There are a few of the par fours that are drivable but if you miss you will be in trouble so weight the risk reward. This course needs Marshall to keep the pace of play moving.
GO!
Definitely recommend the course! It is early spring so not in as good a shape as usual but it will get there in a month. Talking about fairways. Staff is excellent!!
