Sterling Hills Golf Club sprawls across acres of lush countryside surrounded by avocado groves and citrus orchards. The layout winds through the verdant hills between Oxnard and Ventura. The club opened in 1999 as the only public golf course in Ventura County. The layout is player-friendly enough for beginners to still feel comfortable but it also packs a considerable amount of challenges. The versatile layout balances areas of wide-openness with target-style golf. There is contoured mounding along the fairways and some interesting elevation changes. Thanks to the hilly terrain, there is hardly a flat lie to be found. Although Sterling Hills is still relatively young, there are some mature eucalyptus trees throughout. Golfers can warm-up on the driving range, chipping area, or putting green before the game since a bucket of range balls is included with the round.

What a nightmare this guy is. Talk about a true Karen of a man. We had the pleasure of meeting this creep and I really hope that’s the last encounter. Dude goes out of his way to be a jerk. If you don’t like your job go do something else or fix your attitude.

Have played the course numerous times, Love the facility. What I don’t like is receiving 70 emails from GolfNow to confirm my tee time and sign in through your website. There must be a glitch in your system and it was very annoying to see 70 emails on my phone after the round from GolfNow all stating the same thing, please fix this glitch!

Nice staff and extras

For the price getting a lunch and warm-up bucket of balls was a good deal. The edges of the course is just dirt or bushes designed to eat balls. Variability of the course isn’t there. The course is ok but nothing to write to home about

Two groups of 4 walkers...afternoon fun! Perfect weather, crisp, somewhat cloudy, able to see a white ball against backlit purplish skies.... Great comradery. Greens punched recently but still with good speed. A great venue!
