About
Sterling Hills Golf Club sprawls across acres of lush countryside surrounded by avocado groves and citrus orchards. The layout winds through the verdant hills between Oxnard and Ventura. The club opened in 1999 as the only public golf course in Ventura County. The layout is player-friendly enough for beginners to still feel comfortable but it also packs a considerable amount of challenges. The versatile layout balances areas of wide-openness with target-style golf. There is contoured mounding along the fairways and some interesting elevation changes. Thanks to the hilly terrain, there is hardly a flat lie to be found. Although Sterling Hills is still relatively young, there are some mature eucalyptus trees throughout. Golfers can warm-up on the driving range, chipping area, or putting green before the game since a bucket of range balls is included with the round.

Great Course
Arguably the best course in the 805. A plus that my gf’s parents live on this course lol.

What a nightmare this guy is. Talk about a true Karen of a man. We had the pleasure of meeting this creep and I really hope that’s the last encounter. Dude goes out of his way to be a jerk. If you don’t like your job go do something else or fix your attitude.
Great Round
Had one of my best games here in a while. Although I pared first hole didn’t have a great front 9. But when I played the back 9 I played me
Best with a +3 on the back. So had a great time
Golf Now Emails
Have played the course numerous times, Love the facility. What I don’t like is receiving 70 emails from GolfNow to confirm my tee time and sign in through your website. There must be a glitch in your system and it was very annoying to see 70 emails on my phone after the round from GolfNow all stating the same thing, please fix this glitch!
Great Value
Excellent course for under 100 $ The round included a bucket of balls and a complimentary lunch from the snack shop. When I make it back to southern California, I will definitely play here agian !!
Sanded greens
Great course. Paid with golf now full price even though they were giving a discount at the course for sanded greens.

Nice staff and extras
For the price getting a lunch and warm-up bucket of balls was a good deal. The edges of the course is just dirt or bushes designed to eat balls. Variability of the course isn’t there. The course is ok but nothing to write to home about
Walker's fun!
Two groups of 4 walkers...afternoon fun! Perfect weather, crisp, somewhat cloudy, able to see a white ball against backlit purplish skies.... Great comradery. Greens punched recently but still with good speed. A great venue!

Great course. I really like the variety of course layout and terrain. Greens are in great condition. Fairways are well maintained too. A challenging but enjoyable course.
