Decent Municipal Course
I read the prior low reviews and decided to go anyway. Some of the fairways are not great and a few greens needed help. The sand traps have been washed out but overall this is a fun course and for the money on a Sunday I liked it. The fairways are good and not as the prior reviews talked about. I will go back even though its a 40 min drive.
Horrible
Once I paid with my debit card, it said it's declined. I paid with my other credit card and I found they charged me twice. I contacted them right after I got home and they didn't solve the issue. By the way the course condition was horrible. The green is not green.
better but still a long way to go
course has improved since I played a year ago. they are now cutting the grass on the fairways and the rough, and the fairways seem to be in better shape. Unfortunately, the conditions of the greens are still inconsistent and mostly marginal. the folks in the clubhouse are nice and accommodating. with a little more effort in repairing / maintaining the greens, I would choose to play here more often.
Charged double for the cart
I played a round of 18 with a friend and opted for a cart. They charged $36 for one cart, even though the price is $18 per cart, just because there were two of us. They also did not allow each of us to have our own carts. At the end we ended up with two on one cart and a third player walking.
Fun layout, Value golf, if you go in expecting more than that you’ll be disappointed
If you like cicadas, mud traps, fairways at rough length, greens at fairway length, and potentially snail pace, then boy oh boy do I have a course for you!!! Can’t say I’ve ever had to search and think about taking a drop for a ball in the middle of the fairway.
Ok now that I’ve gotten that off my chest, you’re paying 35 bucks for 18 holes, don’t come expecting pebble beach.
This is a great place to get in reps and work on your game, the conditions make for even more of. a challenge
Course Has Improved
Greendale is where I use to play when I was first learning the gems of golf. The course has improved a lot over the years. If you love getting out and just playing a good round without breaking the bank then Greendale is your place.
