Maintenance lapse
Tee boxes not mowed. Never any sand in push carts for divots. Cannot speak for power carts. Hole closed not mentioned on golf now.com. In over 10 years of playing course never any request by starter or pro shop to repair divots...greens could use that help.
Worth 10 bucks to play here
The condition of the tee boxes and greens are terrible. Bunkers are awful. The roughs are awful. 14th hole is closed.
Good Muni Course
Everything you could expect from a muni with the following exceptions:
-Some greens and tee boxes were a little bare of grass
-Skinny fairways
-Fairways in exceptional condition
Buzzkill
We were excited to bring a group of friends out but 1. It was hard to tell the difference between the fairway/green/rough because all of the course was overgrown and 2. The staff is rude with an unwarranted power trip
Jim
Booked on tee off and found I only saved 1$ per golfer! I didn’t notice it was for walking so had to pay extra 18$ per person, not per cart! I have been using Tee off for years and this is the first time this has happened. I will definitely have to be more careful next time.
Nice course but brutal pace
the course was in great shape and nice value, the big negative for me was pace of play. We were stacked up numerous times waiting to tee off finishing the hole and still having the group in front of us waiting to tee off.
Nice Course That Could Use Some Work
This is a fun course to play, though it has some tight fairways. Surprisingly some of the greens and even some of the fairways are in pretty rough shape right now despite the amount of time they had to recover this spring with the closures. Vast majority of staff is very friendly with the occasional exception. Not a lot of food/drink options and no driving range. At standard full prices, it's a little tough to justify paying here at the moment considering its condition and lack of amenities. There are other, better options in the area, but I would still play here if I could find a good deal.
Decent Course, Fine Experience
Played as a foursome on Sunday with a 8:12AM Tee Time. Course was in decent shape. Be prepared to lose some balls though, as the fairways are pretty tight and the woods are thick. The groups ahead played pretty slow, and nobody seemed to enforce any pace of play. In my opinion this was a little bit too expensive for the experience.
A good day
I have played this course for many years and the greens were the best I have ever seen them and the best I have played this year. This course is walkable. The pace was moderate. Our foursome wasn't pushed by those behind us and tee box was open when we arrived. Finish in 4 hours. No amenities yet because of Covid-19, but a beverage cart would be a nice addition.
An Easy Walking Course
An easy Sunday walking course. This course has come along way. A very tight straight forward course. Golfers should play the tees suitable to their handicap. Most players select the White tees one forward from the Championship tees; however, most should play from the yellows based on their handicap and course rating.
Great value and condition
Great condition. Greens were is really good shape: receptive to good shots and rolled well but a bit slow for now. Fairways were well cut and in good condition. Pace was quick for Northern Virginia.
Not Playing Here Again
Played this course twice in one week and had bad outings both times. The rough was wayyy to long and we lost more than a couple balls close to the fairway on decent drives. Went in the middle of a busy Saturday and had to play around the lawnmower all afternoon. For the money play anywhere else.
