Golfer Reviews
Nicely laid out
Conditions are as expected this time of year but the course was well maintained. A fairly straightforward course. Decent value for the money. It does feel a bit claustrophobic because of all the houses built around it.
great course
Great course, panicked a little when gps brought us to the back gate, but it updated when we got back on the main road. We were pleasantly impressed with the price and great condition of the course.
Lake Montecello Golf
The golf was great, could have started ahead of our tee time as 1121 tee time ppl weren't there. The lady wouldn't let us go ahead of her while she waited for her partner. Who was 5 minutes late! Also without help we would've had no idea how to get in. our gps took us to an entrance that needed a code to get in.. I tried to call the number and know one was available to answer phone
Fun course to play
Course was in great shape tee to green. Challenging course that will test you on several tee shots and approach shots.
Nice course but way over booked.
Course was in great condition considering all the rain. But...pace of play was insanely slow..almost 6 hours..painful.
Fun course
Challenging course for all levels. Fairway are tree lined and can get tight so bring extra balls. Greens roll true and some are way more tricky than others. 8 water holes. 9 and 18 are beautiful signature holes with water
Great course and value
Challenging course with some tight fairways. Greens are nice and roll well. Good mix of hills, water and bunkers to keep the round interesting. Bring some extra balls
Fun course to play
Greens were rolling nice and smooth, Fairways and teee boxes were good. LM is a great course to play. Nice people in the Pro Shop, nice range, chipping green. I enjoy playing there. The layout is challenging enough to keep you thinking.
A great day
I traveled an hour and a half to play here. Kind of a pain location being inside a gated community, but easy enough with the call box to the pro shop to get in. Lots of fun holes. Good elevation changes and fast rolling greens. Loved 9 and 18. Also 12, i think, from blues in back tee box up the hill. I was only in a couple bunkers but was nice to have clean playable sand which is missing from the Fredericksburg local courses. I had someone snake my tee time delaying my start, not a big deal both being singles and he let me through on 3 or 4. I played purple tees mixing white and blue. A new experience for me, but allows that middle ground on yardage where white is a little short but blue a bit long. Only issue was not the course's fault. A couple jumped on 10 ahead of the duo in front of me. The duo let me through while the couple didn't and they seemed to still be learning to play, so pace on the last 8 was awful. They even jumped onto 10 again after 18 in front of another group trying to make the turn late day. Just generally inconsiderate. I would love to convince some friends to make the trip and play a 4some on a full scheduled day where i find pace is usually more consistent
