About
The Links at Victoria Golf Course has a convenient location in Carson that is easily accessible from the South Bay, downtown Los Angeles, or Orange County. William Bell, the mastermind who crafted the Torrey Pines courses, also designed the Links at Victoria. The course has a traditional design that features wide, gently undulating fairways and large, well manicured greens. It's not an overly challenging course but there are some holes that will make you think and you'll find that accuracy and a good strategy are both generously rewarded. The wide-openness of the front nine provides a gentle start to the golf course while the tighter back mine presents greater challenges. It's a good round for learning beginners and more advanced golfers will find it to be a fun, quick round for an affordable price.

I can't believe this course is open
I'm glad that I checked the reviews and Yelp prior to getting out here or else I would have been completely shocked at the state of the fairways. I knew what I was getting into but still booked it because this was the only course that had tee times (and I saw why when I arrived). This course should be demolished or closed until they are able to reconstruct the greens. Most of it, aside from the tee box and green, is just dirt and not smooth dirt. If you drive out onto the rocky and dusty fairway it feels like your cart is going to fall apart. I ended up having a miserable time and couldn't wait to be done.
Course in disrepair
It has been a few years since I've played here, and I was shocked at the state of the course. Fairways are 80% barren dirt ways full of giant pot holes. Absolutely unplayable. Just terrible.

Carts coures
Not enough golf carts wait over hour even with booking and prepaid. Carts need attention in condition as in tires battery power and seats.
Course has lots of holes and sand traps are compact simi hard. Good layout but no lights when dusk. Areas back 9 holes or 15 thru 18 should have solar lighting so people can finish game.

Worst course in So Cal
From the time I checked in to getting to my car, this was the worst course I have ever played.
The golf cart seat was torn and seem to b3 chewed up on one side, the brakes were highly sensitive.
What they call fairways were just dirt with a touch of grass in some areas.
The back nine had no markers indicating what hole you were on.
I asked the Marshall what the deal was with the course and he mentioned it was closing in September this year, not soon enough.
I played here about five years ago and forgot how bad it was, but it was worst more this time. I got a real good deal at $22 to play 18 but it wasn’t a very good deal

Joe in the pro shop was the only positive
Course was not maintained whatsoever, brown fairways consistently.
However Joe in the pro shop was an all time pleasant guy. Would recommend for Joe, not the golf.

What is a golf course?
If a golf course is open land with 18 holes with flags in them then I guess this would qualify. The range facilities (that are pictured under the course info) are quite nice. That’s it. The course is 85% hard pan dirt. The bunkers are just holes in the ground. The carts are at least 15 years old. If you can play here for 12$ or less go for it. Otherwise spare yourself the frustration of hitting off hard dirt and the potential for ruining your clubs.

Good practice range
Too many bumps on fairways, not enough grass. Greens were fair.

Worst course with the best greens
Mostly hard dirt with bad grass
When you make it to the greens they are excellent. Maybe the best in LA county area.

Poorly maintained
It would really be a great course to play if they even attempted to maintain it. The course is in just horrendous condition. At least, though, the staff know it and don't try to hide it. They ask you if you know about the terrible conditions of the course before they take your money.

Fun time
We love playing this course. They have good deals once in a while. If you’ve never played it you must know that the course conditions on some holes are pretty bad with dirt instead of grass and lots of gofer holes. Me and my friends aren’t snooty so that doesn’t bother our game. We will continue to play and have a great time.

Tough Conditions, but Amazingly Friendly/Helpful Staff
I played this course with my brother, and while the conditions on the course itself were tragic (no grass on the fairways, craters and gopher holes everywhere), we had a perfectly fun (albeit sometimes frustrating) round of golf. The real light of this course is the wonderful staff. They were upfront and apologetic about the lack of grass and general state of the course, and were happy to answer any questions we had. I'd return to play here just to hang around the pro shop and shoot the breeze. They were super knowledgable and just wanted to make sure we'd have fun out there.

Don’t play
Until they actually put some grass down in the fairways no one should play this course. It’s in absolutely terrible shape and the fact that they think they can try and charge 30-50 bucks is disgusting. Don’t go here.

Course is a mess
Literally no grass in the fairway. Just dirt everywhere. Wouldn't play there again for free. Also walk-on golfers jumping on course at different holes to mess up your play.
