About
The Links at Victoria Golf Course has a convenient location in Carson that is easily accessible from the South Bay, downtown Los Angeles, or Orange County. William Bell, the mastermind who crafted the Torrey Pines courses, also designed the Links at Victoria. The course has a traditional design that features wide, gently undulating fairways and large, well manicured greens. It's not an overly challenging course but there are some holes that will make you think and you'll find that accuracy and a good strategy are both generously rewarded. The wide-openness of the front nine provides a gentle start to the golf course while the tighter back mine presents greater challenges. It's a good round for learning beginners and more advanced golfers will find it to be a fun, quick round for an affordable price.

Beginner Course
I was warned beforehand the fairways are horrible. That’s true. It’s like playing on the moon. However, I’m a beginner and I’m not keeping score - I’m working on my game/swing. For the cost ( which included a cart) it’s a great deal. Tee Boxes had plenty of grass. Greens were green and large. Everything in between was dirt with spits of grass here and there. All I did was pick up my ball out of the dirt, mud, sand (mud traps) or rain lakes and find a small patch of grass to take my shots off of. Better than the Par 3’s I’ve been playing since I got to use all my clubs.
Cons: outside of fairways the driving range balls are ancient so you won’t get much learning from their use.
This is NOT a course for great golfers. It is good if you’re just learning and know enough how to navigate around the pitfalls. This is not a course if you’ve never played before or have not mastered your woods.

Disaster
This course had very little grass on the fairways, flooding on most holes, and is littered with gopher holes. The greens were the bright spot. I wouldn’t call what we played golf.

They Make Vidoes About How Bad This Course Is
Infamous for being the worst course in America. There is no grass on the fairways. It's a crime to have this course on GolfNow. More of a crime to charge $50 to play.

The mud pit
The tee box & greens are good, but the fairways are dirt. They need to fire the course manager, and then buy some grass seed. Grass on the landing areas would be a great improvement.

Please do not go to this golf course. You should just play literally anywhere else.
This course will not exist within 2 years. It is literally not a golf course. There is no grass, only dirt and mud. I paid $45 to go roll around in mud for 4 hours. I wish I missed my tee time. I thought it would be fun to revisit a terrible course I hadn’t played in years. It wasn’t.

The course is shocking
There is no grass at all on most areas of the fairway of most numbers of holes, but sandy soil ground.
Green is still working.

A Must Miss
The reviews will never encapsulate how bad this course is.
you WILL lose golf balls that you hit in the middle of the fairway to the rampant gopher holes EVERYWHERE. we each lost 2-4 balls each on the front 9. If you rent a cart, stick to the cart path. The dirt will spill everything out of its place or cup all over everything else.
I wish this place had grass. its such a rad layout and course.. if it had grass. greens are great. tee boxes are well kept. Staff is super nice.. but the course.. oh god.. the course...
And judging from the news out of the city of Carson, i wouldn't expect anything to turn around anything soon. Such a shame, cause it could really be something special if it wasn't so terribly bad.

Cow Pasteur
I loved playing this course in the past. The greens, The layout, and the environmental areas made it quite challenging; especially when the wind picked up in the afternoons. Now, unfortunately, they have let fairway maintenance go completely and they are no more than dirt hardpan with scarce patches of grass to be found. It looks horrible! The bright spots are the great driving range, a decent19th hole grill, and cafe, and in spite of the lack of maintenance to the fairways, the greens are still rolling well and are in good shape for now.

Terrible course.
The only course that had availability on a Sunday and that was for a reason. This is by far the worst course that I have come across. I walked up to the first tee, looked at my friend, and we both agreed we are taking a loss for our money and playing a different course a different day. When I say there was more dirt than playable green, I mean it. It literally seemed as if you had to drive from the tee box to the putting green on any given hole so that you weren’t stuck in some rutted out dirt fairway. The course should honestly be paying you to play there for the damage that will be done to your clubs swinging off of dirt.
