About
The Links at Victoria Golf Course has a convenient location in Carson that is easily accessible from the South Bay, downtown Los Angeles, or Orange County. William Bell, the mastermind who crafted the Torrey Pines courses, also designed the Links at Victoria. The course has a traditional design that features wide, gently undulating fairways and large, well manicured greens. It's not an overly challenging course but there are some holes that will make you think and you'll find that accuracy and a good strategy are both generously rewarded. The wide-openness of the front nine provides a gentle start to the golf course while the tighter back mine presents greater challenges. It's a good round for learning beginners and more advanced golfers will find it to be a fun, quick round for an affordable price.

Not worth the money
If you like grass don’t play here. Simple as that.
There’s more grass on your front yard than there is on the entire course. There is one Pro, the ball will roll about 80 extra yards so you feel like your bombing them lol

No grass on the fairways
This course has almost no grass on the fairways, it is like playing on cement. The pace was slow and the group behind us was hitting into us so we left at the 11th hole.

Stay Far Away
You couldn’t book anywhere else so you have to choose this place? Believe me, stay home instead haha or hit the range somewhere else. You get punished for hitting good shots down the fairway and you will lose balls that go perfectly straight.

Worst golf course I ever played.
Hardly any grass on fairways. The ruff was full of weeds. Greens were good. I don't think I will play here again.

Janky Course
For the price you would expect better kept greens. The fairway and bunkers are practically the same, and the fairway is so bumpy and not taken care of at all. I was pretty bummed that we payed basically $90 for two with a cart and that was the type of course we got.

Never been more embarrassed for the people running the place.
Owner should be ashamed ... course is a dirt. Grass is non existent. Save your money and play anywhere else. Not sure why this course is still made available to book through GolfNow. I have requested to have it taken off their application but I still see it available.

Needs a bunch of work
Most of the fairways are dirt. Not dead grass, but dirt! Toms of gopher wholes everywhere and riding in the cart is like being on a rollercoaster. Course is fairly cheap and is pretty much always open if you’re desperate to play.

Where’s the course?
Honestly.... this is not a golf course. It’s a dirt field with patch of short grass they call a green. The fairways are packed dirt that mirrors the consistency of concrete and the greens defy all sense of logic by being both spongy and fast. Did I mention the holes in the ground? Gophers, ground hogs, who knows. They are there. Don’t bother with the cart. It’s like off roading. You’ll chip a tooth and a wedge. If you actually make it to the back 9, you can find a few holes with grass. However, you’re only impressed by this because of the overall absence of grass. There is a reason you can get a last minute weekend tee time here. If you play golf, you have to be a little bit sadistic so you may not take my word for it. In that case, the staff is lovely, bring a cooler and enjoy!

A good time if you can “work around” the bad fairways
Good - tee from grass and tee boxes in good shape, greens large, ondulated , challenging, fun and in great shape.
Bad - fairways really poor. (See pic). Local rule seems to be to play from the nearest patch of grass no closer to the hole :-)
Fun - got to the Goodyear Blimp up close at hole 10 (See pic).
Overall - while the lack of grass on the fairways is a bit of.a turn off when you start, the course does have a lot to offer in terms of lay out and outstanding greens.
Recommend it - but people should come in with right expectations.

Might as well play on the 405
TERRIBLE!!!! Start time was 30 minutes late, there was hardly ANY grass on the course. Conditions are awful, you WILL damage your clubs on this course. Bring a mat to hit off bc otherwise you are basically hitting off concrete. They really should rent ATV’s not golf carts because it’s like driving thru the desert. If I could I would give ZERO stars. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE, WILL NOT BE BACK, DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Fairway is terrible. No Grass at all. Only thing good about this course is Green.

does not qualify as "Golf Course"
Staff was unaccountable and useless. Went out 1 HOUR after tee time. Course is 85 % dirt fairways. Looks abandoned. The gofer holes are the only texture, and feel like moggles on a ski run. They are everywhere, except on the cement cart path. First time I've ever abandoned the round after 9 holes. Again, no concern from the staff for the mismanaged scheduling or terrain. Apparently they are bull dozing this dump in 6 months. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

No green color fairways, but great greens for putting
The place needs to improve its fairways, plain and simple. I enjoyed the layout and the challenges in each hole. The price is average $45-50 with cart, so other courses provide you better maintenance. Still, the course is one I would return to and hope they have maintained it over time.

Stay AWAY
1 Hour wait for a golf cart. $10 for 50 balls at the range. The fairways are Non-existent since the layout is ALL Dirt except for the greens. Owners and managers have let this course go. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s sold to the city and demolished. Nobody cares except some staff that are constantly getting chewed out. But this problem starts at the top and the top doesn’t give a hoot. Will never play there again,

Should be cheaper
I like the layout of the course, unfortunately they cannot keep grass here. Fairways are dirt, but I like that the greens are in good shape. You can get a tee time here usually which is good for how popular golf is now, but the price should be a little cheaper than it is.

Horrendous conditions
Staff was friendly and warned that the fairway was not in good condition but the course was awful. How could you truly charge full price for the course when the fairway is essentially concrete. Really disappointing.
