About
The Links at Victoria Golf Course has a convenient location in Carson that is easily accessible from the South Bay, downtown Los Angeles, or Orange County. William Bell, the mastermind who crafted the Torrey Pines courses, also designed the Links at Victoria. The course has a traditional design that features wide, gently undulating fairways and large, well manicured greens. It's not an overly challenging course but there are some holes that will make you think and you'll find that accuracy and a good strategy are both generously rewarded. The wide-openness of the front nine provides a gentle start to the golf course while the tighter back mine presents greater challenges. It's a good round for learning beginners and more advanced golfers will find it to be a fun, quick round for an affordable price.

Horrible Experience!
First and last time booking at this course. I was excited to play a full 18 hole, but after seeing the conditions of the fairways and some of the tee off areas... it really bothered me. I could honestly say if this course would have some grass to hit off of and less gofer holes to drive over, it would have been a decent course for the money. DEFINITELY, would not be booking another tee time here again or recommending it to a family member or friend.

What a shame
The course condition was in terrible condition
When checking in we were adviced by friendly staff that we could move the ball around without penalty...
What? Hahaha, it turned the fairway was virtually no exit...
Anyway, I just wish the course or the websites would inform golfers upfront the course condition...

Worst course in the USA
There literally aren’t fairways just dirt. This might be the only place you can get a tee time but don’t bother. They should be embarrassed and ashamed of themselves. I hit some bombers with that sweet hard dirt roll out lol.

The soil is bad we know, but come on!!
Historically, this course was never really known for its lush fairways. The soil is bad given what the course was built on so it’s understandable that there will be patches of dirt in the fairways. Knowing all this doesn’t mean you stop trying. This course needs to be shut down for a few months to get it back in decent playing shape. Watching your ball land in the middle of the fairway with a cloud of dirt on every bounce is unpleasant. I like the course distance and the layout and especially how difficult it becomes with the afternoon winds, but I will avoid this course in the future unless it starts getting some much needed TLC. You shouldn’t have to pay to play this course in the shape it’s in. It’s a shame.

The course fairways have no grass, all dirt.
The website is deceiving. You should let the public know that your fairways have no grass and that they are full of dirt. When we asked the starter after finishing our round, why there was no grass. His ignorance cocky attitude was, they been like that for 20 years. This was the worse golf course I've ever played on, never again.

Not Worth the Price
The course is totally in need of a do over. It's the worst course condition I've ever played on. Charging $30 is being overpriced. The county needs to look at fixing this course.

Improving but needs a little work still
Played this 6.months ago and it was a mud fest on the fairways. I have to hand it to the staff they are making improvements much more grass on tee boxes and fairways but there is a long way to go. Including gopher controls on a few fairways. But good challenging course and nice driving range and friendly staff. Keep up the improvements and I will be back.

estremely dissatisfied
After playing this course with its dirt fairways, literally thousands of gopher holes, I couldn't believe you would charge someone to play this course. My body was so sore from the riding the course I had to take 2 aspirins and a hot bath to recover. In all my years of playing I have never played a more terrible course. I am ashamed that LA County offers this course to its golfers.

There is literally no fairway, no grass anywhere on the actual course. The sand traps are hard rocks, and there's thousands of gopher holes. I think the course needs to be shut down and renovated. Good driving range, but that's really about it in my POV.
