About
The Links at Victoria Golf Course has a convenient location in Carson that is easily accessible from the South Bay, downtown Los Angeles, or Orange County. William Bell, the mastermind who crafted the Torrey Pines courses, also designed the Links at Victoria. The course has a traditional design that features wide, gently undulating fairways and large, well manicured greens. It's not an overly challenging course but there are some holes that will make you think and you'll find that accuracy and a good strategy are both generously rewarded. The wide-openness of the front nine provides a gentle start to the golf course while the tighter back mine presents greater challenges. It's a good round for learning beginners and more advanced golfers will find it to be a fun, quick round for an affordable price.

Golfer Reviews
Sod placement stupid, greems shaggy and slow
Played 5/4/14 after it's re-opening to a par 72. Many fairways have been improved, but there are still plenty of bad spots. Whoever was in charge of placing sod should be fired. They placed sod on holes #7 and #13 between 200-250 into the green (rewarding a bad shot), but between 150-200 into the green is still terrible. A waste of money on sod placement in MANY places.
Greens were also shaggy and much slower than they used to be. Greenskeeper needs to be replaced.
Good Value for the Money
Good value for your money. $33 (with cart) hot deal on golfnow and the course layout was enjoyable. The greens were in great shape and rolled well. I know they're working on improving the fairways (a lot of new sod has been laid down) but there were a few times where I was hitting off hard pack in the middle of the fairway. Played in under 5 hours and could have been much faster without the group in front of us going on extended ball hunts in the bushes on every hole.
Great course for beginners. A lot of greens can be rolled up on (hence Links) and there weren't many forced carries. Fairway conditions weren't great but the value for the money would bring me back.
New Management
I appreciate the new management trying to repair the course but perhaps they need to update their computer in the process. The pro shop never knows whether I have a tee time or not and don't know how to pair me with other players.
Roping off most of the fairway is also not helping the pace of play. Most of the time, I can't even tell where the ropes are and either just drive other them or have to come to a sudden stop. Probably should let carts be driven on both sides of the fairway with a few more crossover paths. Use some spray paint so we can see. You don't have to repair all of the fairway at once, think about how we have to play and where most shots go.
Has potential
The course has a lot of potential, it is in dyer need of a new more professional staff. I booked a 1207 tee-time as single with a cart. I was paired with a good group but what got me was the starter informed me that another single was to join us and ride in my cart. I was stunned, first off, the soon to be joining golfer came out puffing on a cigar, one I do not smoke. The starter and the pro shop insisted he ride with me because of there policy on single riders, after the 15 min battle of arguing I was able to ride alone. Needless to say the first hole I recorded a triple bogey. I never shoot triples. So with that said no staff should ever get into a confrontation with its patrons…..DH
Lost golf game
I booked and paid full a tee at 11.22 yesterday, but my wifd caught a cold and we didn't go to pay.
Unfortunately for us was not well .
Right now we feel sad because we couldn't play and we have lost our money !!
Next time I'll never pay in advance because we may never know what it would happen !
My best regards
Georges Valentin
Improved fairways but work is still needed
The fairways are getting better but still poor for a county course. The greens are pretty good. The bunkers are hard though. I wish all the fairways looked like hole #15.
Course
You can tell they are working on the course conditions. The reason I gave a 1 star on the food is Becouse it was closed. I was looking for some food at 330
Terrible Fairways
This was by far the worst fairways I have ever played on a GolfNow sponsored course!
The fairways were so bad that 3 holes had alternate tees 125 yards from the hole, effectively removing the entire fairway from play on Par 4 holes.
We will never play this course again.
Lame course
Fairways were horrible. Ugly surroundings. Every piece of grass is different.
Great Deal
We played this course before so we knew what to expect. Three holes have been converted to par 3's because they are under construction. I heard they are almost done and will re-open soon. The staff in the club house and in the snack shop are all very friendly. You are not going to mistake this place for Pebble Beach, but the deal was so good, I have to give it 4 stars. Great place to play when you have that golf itch that needs scratching.
needs a lot of work
Should close for alittle until they fix the fairways.
If they don't close they should let everyone know ahwad of time that most of the fair ways are in really bad shape unplayable
Course needs water
I played this course for the 2nd time in 2 months and it is getting better. But the fairways are still very patchy and dry but the greens are nice. The rough is narly and desert like. Lost balls are very common. They get credit for having their crews out there mowing and trying to shape the course. However, they have a vey long way to go.
Stay away for a couple months
They had no carts available when I prepaid for 1. Tee boxes and greens were decent.trying to fix the fairways but there still not even close. Lake on the 2nd hole fairway
New and improved
I had not played at Links at Victoria for awhile and decided to come back for a hot deal on Golfnow.com
They were putting work into the course to improve the fairways from before where it used to be a lot of dead grass and dirt. Even with the course "under construction" the fairways were playable and much improved. The greens were in very lush condition and the T boxes were pretty decent as well. The course still needs work but overall is much more playable then before.
Mr Rick
Couse is under reconstruction 6 par fours played as par 3. Greens were ok; I look forward to when the course is finished.
Great greens
The constant here is the condition of the greens, great! The fairways are okay for now, but the value through GN made for a worthwhile day! Always enjoy coming back to the first big course I ever played.
Fairways need help
Fairways have new patches of sod. Should just close the course until truly ready to play.
This course was terrible...
I went to play yesterday, October 24, but the fairway was under construction and the courses were blocked off without notice. 14 holes were par 3... Even golf now did not mention anything about this but they charged full price. I understand the need for renovation/ construction, but it should at least be notified to guests. I am a regular here, but if these inconveniences persist, you will lose your loyal guest.
course is under repair and construction going on
The layout of the course could be appealing and challenging once all developments and improvements are completed
