About
The 18-hole Dogwood Trace Golf Course (formerly known as Lee Park Golf Course) in Petersburg, VA is a public golf course. Stretching over 6600 yards from the back tees while playing to a par 72 the course features four different sets of tee boxes and can be enjoyed by players of all skill levels. Players will find extensive bunkering lakes and ponds with bulkheads that come into play on several holes and well-manicured challenging greens.

No Bad but Don't Skip Annibell's
Course in good shape but greens still impacted by aeration. Outing in front of us made this a very long day. Not a ranger is sight as groups met and laughed and talked on tee boxes as the course backed up.
Nice Course
Although the greens got punched this week the course played fairly well. The only issue was that every one of the water containers were empty and pace of play was terrible. We even had a single come in as we were told by the marshall that we needed to be done in 45 minutes. The single didn't care, we were waiting on every hole for the foursome in front of us and we were on their tails, and this guy was so uncourteous that he came in and just tee'd off as we were putting on the green. We had to wait for him as he waited for the foursome...not cool!!!
The water issue was bad as the guy in the clubhouse had really no concern and said we could go to the bar which charged us for ice and water.
Thank you for the feedback! We apologize for the lack of water on the course. We understand that the staff was made aware of the lack of water and that was corrected within 15 minutes. The bar is happy to provide water free of charge if you bring your own cup. We do apologize for the somewhat slow play. It was a very busy Saturday and we also had two outings. Thank you again for your review and we do hope you'll play us again in the future.

Fairways and greens great
The rough needed to be cut. It was much to long for me to recommend this course to a friend

This golf course is always in immaculate shape...
Staff treats you like you are a member. New clubhouse with a full bar and excellent food. Pro shop is fully stocked and would be the envy of any country club.
Greens always roll true and Bermuda fairways allow you to play the ball down...Driving range, putting green and chipping green with sand traps will equal any country club in the area...Play it, I will guarantee that it will match up to 90% of the courses you play....Easy to give a good review...I play it a minimum of twice per week all year round.

Great condition
Course in great shape. Tees , fairways and greens in very good shape. Found very few burn spots and traps good with plenty sand . Rough will eat your ball so spot it well. Course was busy but pace was still good . Interesting thou was the number of singles playing and some seemed to move around. had single in front of threesome and one behind but didn't want to play through and pair up so didn't worry if he waited at times. Also saw him playing the 9th hole and then followed us to 2nd tee. A lot of this course you can see adjoining holes and we were constantly going where did they come from, but pace wasn't disturbed so just kept moving on. Back nine more challenging from tee and a little tighter . Nice patio back of clubhouse overlooking 9 th grreen. Good day and will play again.

Great value for the money...
Course is in above average shape. Greens were a little beat up but we played late in the day (really annoying that so many people do not repair ball marks on green).
Will definitely play again.

Unbelievable course for the money
Dogwood is truly a must play. The course conditions are what you would expect at something well above the price to pay here. Hands down a must play again!

Dogwood Trace
Dogwood Trace was awesome! It was one of the best courses I have played this year. One concern.....the rough was tooooo tall. I must have lost 4 balls right beside the green. Great experience though.

Beautiful course, well worth the money
Very scenic, well maintained course. A good mix of bunkers and water hazards. Staff was friendly, and we had a great time.

Economy Golf
Affordable course with average course conditions. Tee boxes and fairways were good. Rough was short and playable but some of the greens were starting to roach our. Greens were also really fast and hard. Only played 9 holes and it's a short course which I like so pace of play was pretty good. Fairways can be tight but the openness of the course allows you to find most stray balls. I enjoyed the round very much.
