Dogwood Trace Golf Course

Dogwood Trace is very nice course. Greens are very well maintained as well as the fairways. Staff is very friendly. I would definitely recommend Dogwood Trace.

Great course !!! Staff extremely friendly and grounds crews does an excellent job keeping the course in shape, even in rainy conditions. Water comes into play on several holes which test you. It's really enjoyable playing here and well worth the drive from Richmond. Thanks guys !

Outstanding greens and fairways.

nice clubhouse but no 19th hole yet or a place to get something to eat durning or after a round

I played on a Saturday morning so I expected slow play. The front nine was smooth sailing. The back nine was at a snail's pace, I left. I always enjoy playing Dogwood Trace and I look forward to playing at least once a month.

Great course for the money. Fairways are in great shape. The rough is a little thick, the ball can disappear from sight on some holes. This course can be quite challenging for the novice. Straight drives will keep you out of trouble.

Course in excellent shape, although rough, as it often is this time of year, was penal. Greens in excellent shape. Fun course to play.

Dogwood was in great shape as usual. Definitely the best course in the Richmond area.

I thought the course was in really good shape. Had played course before some time ago and needed refreshing on hole layout to play differently. Will look forward to playing again with different shot playing from tees.

Very nice course and staff excluding marshal. Never made course rounds to assist with play throughs. Very slow play as a result.

When you drive up, the clubhouse is kind of misleading because you might think the place is a little on the rinky dink side. It is not. They are currently building a brand new clubhouse. The course was really very good. Nice layout..great shape...and challenging. If you are nearby then you might want to give this place a try. I came away really enjoying my experience on the course.

I have played Dogwood several times this season. Fairways are always perfect and greens are smooth albeit a bit slow. The front 9 has a lot of wide fairways with not much trouble. The back 9 is much more difficult with lots of tree trouble. Also, the driving range is kept in great shape and you hit off grass year round. Their is no real food service other than hot dogs and chips. This should change once the new clubhouse is completed. Due to the popularity of the course, play can get bogged down on the weekends, but is still a good bargain. Great accommodating staff...makes you want to come back again.

Great golf course at a good price. Some very nice golf holes. Had a great time. Can't wait to go back!

Had a great time on a last minute round. Can't beat the price I got on golf now. Half what a normal greens fee is. Only negative thing I could say is a threesome jumped in front of us and held us up on the back nine. Sad part is one of those players was an employee of the course. Heard him say to not worry about the golfers behind you and just play your game. 2 open holes in front of them and never gave us a chance to play through. Was to late to say something to anyone in clubhouse .

This course is pretty amazing for a Public City course, Greens are in Fantastic shape, fairways and tee boxes are also in Great condition. Rates are much better then other courses of supposedly higher caliber.

It's an old layout type course, tee and greens and parallel fairways which can be a bit challenging and scary for the golfer that is not hitting it all that straight.

The front nine is the easier of the two and the Par 3's on the Front are amongst the more difficult of the holes. Get your scores here !

The back nine of this course is to say the least "challenging" due to the length of several of the par 4's in the middle.

Overall this is a great course.

Really great course that was challenging, yet forgiving. I was rewarded when I hit a good shot, and scrambled when I didn't. Great, albeit thick and often challenging to find a ball, grass off the fairway and fringe around green. Very enjoyable experience, especially for $30!! Very few golfers on the course was nice, but I hope the course is doing well, as I'd love to see them remain, as I'll play it often.
