The 18-hole Dogwood Trace Golf Course (formerly known as Lee Park Golf Course) in Petersburg, VA is a public golf course. Stretching over 6600 yards from the back tees while playing to a par 72 the course features four different sets of tee boxes and can be enjoyed by players of all skill levels. Players will find extensive bunkering lakes and ponds with bulkheads that come into play on several holes and well-manicured challenging greens.

Hidden Gem
Hidden Gem in the middle of Petersburg!
Great fairway and greens condition, value priced.
Congestion
Over 5 hours to finish a round on a weekday. Pace was a problem every time at this course. Locals said they regularly leave without finishing when it gets that way.

Management service is so good!
So, I highly recommend to visit and play game.
Course quality
The course was in very good shape from the tea boxes down the fairways and the greens were beautiful condition, Staff was friendly and very helpful. Great place to play.
Fun and somewhat challenging
We play here twice a month. This is a public course so delay’s have to be expected, but in the years playing here 4 1/2 hrs has been the longest. Fairways are hard, traps ok and greens could use a little TLC. All things considered, great value for the prices to pay using GN.
I've played this course many time and it has never been in a better condition than this year in my opinion. The pace of play can get backed up at times but it's a public course so you'll have that. The staff is great and friendly
Five Hours - way too long!!!
Many holes next to each other and had to dodge many errant shots from other holes. The rangers could have helped with pace of play - the group in front of us were two holes behind.
The positive - the course is set up for all handicaps - my foursome used three different tees. The greens were challenging and held the approach shots.
Overcrowded
I’ve played several times at this course and enjoy it for the most part. My main issue is the pace of play. I’m often waiting for other players in front of me while i feel rushed cause of the group behind me. Either the tee times are booked too close together or nobody’s at the first hole making sure people are teeing off at the right time. Overall it’s not a bad course just a few things that make it less enjoyable.

Staff is superb, Mike, Jamie, Noble and the crew are top notch!
Course is in awesome condition. Very forgiving for a beginner and tough enough for a lower handicap. Always a good time at Dogwood. We look forward to the next round and many great great rounds to come.
