Golfer Reviews
Fun Track, Fun greens, Great value
This course is 5 minutes from my house and I play it often. GolfNow hot deals make this a great value (usually $14-$19 for 18 w/cart). Not a long course but it does turn some and the greens have some tricky undulations to keep you entertained. It's not "pristine fairways" but it doesn't have bare spots and is kept up year round. For the price, you can't beat it. Recommend for a relaxing round at a quite track.
Suffolk is a value
Great for the price. Played on a frozen course made it a bit more difficult.
Fall play
Fairway grass average short. First and second cut areas better. Some wet areas with good drainage. Green looked too short and rolled.Beautiful major lake. I will be back.
Great for this time of the year
Considering that leaves are falling everywhere the staff have done alot of work to keep the course clear. Did not loose any balls in the fairways due to leaves. Cold but still a great course.
Had a great time playing and the weather was superb!
Fairways have been invaded
I read a review that said they couldn't find much bent grass in the fairways. I agree with that. the greens were smooth and fast. Tee boxes and sand were both average. Lots of elevation changes and lots of dog legs. The fairways had nice amount of grass just not Bent. I didn't see a beverage cart.
It was drizzling. The course drain well. 90 degrees
The greens are fast. Tricky undulation. Well kept.
Good city course
Suffolk Va. city course, greens are in great shape, smooth & fast. Would have giving 5 Stars except wet conditions from rain the night before.
Cloudy Sunday round of golf
First time playing this course... booked it on GolfNow price was right. Course description says Bermuda Grass Fairways Fairway but I was hard-pressed to find much Bermuda grass in the Fairway.
Pleasantly surprised
Nice course, great shape. I think any golfer at any level would enjoy this hidden gem. Why haven't I heard of it before? I highly recommend you try Suffolk Golf Course.
Good value for money
First time playing in about 4 years. This is the course where I learned to play about 40 years ago. Course is in much better shape as fairways are nice and green. Course has nice wide fairways, but they have taken out some of the bunkers in the fairways and around the greens. Lots of dog legs, so course favors shot placement over big booming drives.
Good cheap public course
I have been playing this course for 10 years.
It is a great public course and some good deals if booked through GolfNow
We have been playing at 8am for $15
If you are an upscale course player this is not that course. However, the fairways are green (a little long) and the greens roll smooth.
Nice
The golf course was in great shape. We had a good time. Thank you for your hard work in making the course this good
A great value golf course!
This is a public course, and we have usually been able to get on here for $20, cart included. The course is challenging, has a good variety of hole layouts, and for the money delivers just about the best value around!
Nquire
I'm a 15-handicap and find the course challenging, interesting and fun. The greens are very fast and tricky. If you need to work out your putting problems these greens will help you learn how to adjust speed and read greens.
