The course
The fairways were 95% weeds. The teebox was either dirt or mattes. The greens were mostly weeds or under repair. The staff was nice and friendly.

It's older, and it's been played...it's fun with some sneaky hard water hazards.

Too many water hazards for my liking but it’s still a VERY fun course to play!!!

Kempsville Greens
No Grass on the Fairway! Cut down to mud! Greens Ok but bumpy! Had to play back nine which is a makeshift nine! This course was once a nice 9 hole course! Developer got greedy and put home and apartments around a terrible back 9 layout! Cant really play here until end of May or June when Bermuda is finally growing!

Great time
We had a lot of fun, the greens were in pretty good shape considering the time of year. The course itself is generally tight so placement was very important. The staff was very gracious and friendly.
Cold morning
When my partner and I arrived for our 9:12 tee time, we were told that the putting green and course were in a frost delay. We did not have an opportunity to loosen up after months of not playing. We finally teed off and found the course much improved from last year. It was obvious that the greens had been completely overhauled. It took us by surprise at how fast they ran now. After the front nine, we finally settled in and had adjusted to the change. The back nine was a lot warmer and speed of play was not a problem. Overall the course is much better than I previous years. Mike has done a great job improving the greens.
