Good First Time
First time out on the course ever. I was extremely nervous because I’ve never played golf on the course before, just the driving range. The staff explained everything to me, answered my dumb questions and assured me I would be fine. Had a good time and will hopefully get better.
Not in vigor shape
Bumpy slow greens, washed out sand traps, and crab grass highlight this course. Wont be back.

Greens
Course is gonna be beautiful next year. Back nine from what they said came a long way. A few greens on the front nine weren’t great one or two on the back min weren’t either but the back nine is pretty challenging, but they used temporary greens that you can still see to improve the greens and the plan is to have together course in great shape next year and I think it’ll be great.

Great Course
We wanted to golf somewhere different this year and based on other reviews we picked this course. The staff was great there were several twosomes but it still moved quickly. Had a snack at the snack bar when done. Highly recommend this course.

Dock droppings
So much duck droppings on the greens … affected my putting in a bad way

Never again
I offer good ratings but on rare occasion when I find a service or good super sub-standard, I will regrettably offer a bad review. So is the case with KG GC.
I’ve played courses that close a green or 2, but all 18 at the same time? We played KG GC numerous times over the past year and were surprised back in May when we were told of the 18 temporary greens.
Fast forward to last week, we made a tee time on Golf Pass after having been told the week before the greens would be open. Not so. When I said something to the man when checking in he spoke to me as if he was doing me a favor letting us play.
I’ll NEVER go back.

Alright for the money
Course was in pretty poor condition, play of pace and staff were great though

Greens are terrible
Allegedly, Kempsville re-did/replaced all their greens in February. The greens yesterday were horrible with multiple bar spots and growth. I saw no evidence of any effort toward improving the greens.

Bait and switch
I had no idea all the putting greens on the course were complete under repair! Meaning there were no real putting greens. Total waste of time should have gone to the driving range. I won’t be back and wish I had a refund.
