Lely Resort Golf & Country Club - Mustang Course

Good layout. Hit wedges into majority of par 4. Short par 5s but was told most courses in Florida are like that. One thing is the greens, asked if they were just aerated and they Just threw sand down, nope greens down here have sand on them all year round. Maybe rolling at a 6 or 7... for someone used to 11-12 makes it tough, no break to putts, straight at the hole. They put me on Flamingo instead of Mustang and shot 78.

We really enjoyed this course. Great layout but not too difficult for mid to high handicappers. Would definitely play again. Only negative no water on the course..

The mustang course was perfect for a guy like me who hasn’t played in a couple of years. You literally have to try to hit the ball so badly in order to find trouble. Fairways are huge and assuming you take the minimal effort of checking the hole map to avoid the water, you are in for a fun day. Course was so so condition but it is summer in Covid land and I did 18 in a car back to car Two hours. One tip for visiting golfers. Every Florida golf course has less break than you read and are slower than you think.

First time playing a course at Lely Resort and it was a fantastic experience. Very laid back atmosphere for a high-end golf club. Friendly staff. Course was challenging and was a fun layout. Course conditions were good. Clubhouse amenities were closed due to Covid-related issues but looked beautiful inside.

Rained the day we played. Course drained exceptionally well. Restaurant wasn't open and no cart girl, so tough to review. Would definitely go back.

First time playing the Mustang course at Lely. Very nice course very nice layout. I was able to play in between all the rain, the course held up great even with all the rain and greens were still a little quick. I would definitely play here again, just wait a little longer for the summertime maybe get a little bit better of a price my only complaint.

Rained out after 8 holes and they wouldnt give us a rain check since we reserved through Golf Now. Very disappointed

The course was well maintained and greens were in great shape and rolled true. The staff were very friendly. All around a great experience. During these crazy times, it’s nice to be able to enjoy a nice round of golf.

Hearing is was a Trevino inspired layout I was very excited to play the course.. it’s beautiful and the fairways are in really good condition, bunkers in amazing condition but the greens are so sandy and unreceptive. I hit a 60 degree from 56 hards out. Didn’t leave a ball mark. They roll slow less brake more make on these greens. Staff was very nice though. I was there the same time as a 3 some and a 4 some as a single, They made me wait behind both groups where I believe I could have played though. Some holes else than others 15 mins in between shots will take anyone or or rhythm

I got to enjoy golf today the course can get you in a few spots but overall I liked that the fairways were friendly for a bogey golfer like me. I was always was able to get a club on the ball avoiding those useless penalties. Can’t wait to try Flamingo.

This is a fabulous course, but a little longer than I have been playing, so you really need to concentrate. Since this was my first time playing here, I got into some trouble not knowing how the ball would jump on a hard green, or off the edge of the fairway. I was able to use a Golf Pass coupon, so i am glad I got to play this fancy course.

Mustang is a good course ... wide open and fair. As a public access course, the layout and conditions were good. As a private course, I expect more. Pace of play today was 4h 20m.

The Lely Mustang course is a little pricey, especially in-season, morning tee times but it’s one of the best public courses in the area. In fantastic condition when we played, tee boxes, fairways and greens. Rough is manageable, lots of water that needs to be avoided! Range and other practice facilities are as good as anywhere and Sam Snead’s is a pretty decent restaurant. Will be back for more!
